Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
DM rolls
Tempus listens at the door to the southeast of the room. He hears nothing on the other side, but the light incessant clacking of the feeding jewel-bird could be masking sound.
Regardless, he opens the door. Chet steps forward into the room carefully inspecting it for tripwires or loose stones. As he explores (and finds nothing), the others look about this room. To the south (their left), the party sees through the archway to the room with the sinking black floor Chet and Tempus reported from their first visit. Green tiles move about on its surface as they did before. Ahead of them they see a room hewn from the familiar bluish grey stone. It too is lit with lamps. 30' ahead are three doors set into the west wall. A small alcove is nestled into the northwest corner of the room. An ornate door, much like the one seen near the mosaic (about 70' to the east), occupies the north wall of this alcove.
The party steps past the dead chameleon women and the jeweled hummingbird continues to suck the marrow from the warrior's bones.
The walls and floor of the room are made from the familiar bluish grey stone. It is completely empty, except for a small simple wooden table - about 3' square - in the middle. On the table sits a tarnished silver tray and a glass carafe full of a liquid that looks like wine...and an empty glass next to it. The glass looks bent and warped, as if by age. But there is no dust on these items.
Map (note - north is left in this picture - not sure why it reoriented again):

Light bearers: Lamps in rooms - Angus' lantern has 3.5 hours worth of oil left in it but is unlit.
Intended Direction of Travel:
Injury Status: Chet lightly wounded

Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Galan circles the room carefully looking for traps and such. When he gets to the table he pauses and gives it a good look over. "Not sure what this is, but it looks magical.....valuable.....and dangerous."
Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Hyde watches the rear until everyone else enters. Everything in this place be daynjarus, yeahh. Them shiny discs make a fella drunk, no tellin' what mischief that stuff might call up. Watch yaself, hah?
Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Dandelion watches and waits. She tries to relax her fingers' grip on her trident occasionally, but her senses stay on high alert.

All those doors in the room make Rufus nervous. What might come out of them? But since he's near the back of the party he figures he'll focus on watching the rear, and let the folks up front worry about the doors.

Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
"It looks like much of the prison we explored is mapping into adjoining chambers nicely. If you guys can check for traps on the doors and room, any sliding or shifting walls of ceilings or unsafe passages etc, I hear gnomes and dwarves are good at that sort of thing. Then we can explore. Perhaps if we can take the stuff on there table without touching it for later examination or possibly as some

Up the discs that made Yenny hungry, they might be useful to use of some of the denizens within the prison if we get overwhelmed. Maybe we should look at who is the most resistant to magic amongst us and have them try out these things first off. Some kind of plan to explore the prison together might be wise." the dreadlocked halfling suggests tentatively, patting the bear to keep him calm whilst waiting for those experienced in such things to check the rooms safety.

Chet states the obvious. "Hey, that table -nothing around here's normal. I should inspect it and see if there anything...odd about it."
The monk gets to work. He inspects the top, bottom, and legs to see if there is anything unusual.

Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
DM rolls dice
The entire party enters the bare, multi-doored room. Hyde brings up the rear, and the jeweled hummingbird follows just as he lets the door close behind him.
The party keeps an eye on the numerous doors - and the archway - in the bare room as Galan checks for traps along the wall. Chet, after warnings from Hyde, examines the wooden table, the silver tray, and the glasses carefully.
DM rolls dice
The monk was hoping to find gems or something interesting in the table, tray or glasses, but is disappointed to find nothing of value. The tray itself appears to be made of real silver. Stained with age, it may be of less value to a collector but still holds some value - after all, it's silver. The glass and carafe would have to be moved first.
Meanwhile, Galan moves carefully along the south wall, checking for traps. DM rolls dice. After about 15 minutes he has covered the entire south wall and found nothing untoward.

"Well if it ain't a shiny, sitting right out waiting for someone to take it," scoffs Angus.
"It ain't trying to kill us, so let it be. Which door next, y'all?"

Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Tempus bids Clarence to stay and moves over to the silver stuff and knocks the glass and carafe off the tray with his dagger. He will open his pack and slide the stuff that's empty into it with his dagger making sure he doesn't touch the items himself.
After that the dreadlocked Druid will move to the doorways and listen at each, shhhhing the others as he does so.

Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
just a reminder that the carafe is filled with what looks like red wine. Does Tempus wish to knock the carafe over and let the wine spill?
Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Can he hook the carafe handle with his dagger and lift it off into the table. He will do so even if it causes some of the wine to spill out.

Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
"Yeah, Tempus, I'll help you listen at the doors if you don't mind" offers Chet.
Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Almost like a 3 stooges scene, Galan listens as well.
Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Hyde looks back to the Bumblebird. We fed it... Her. Like a cat, you feed it, it's yours. She knows she be gonna get a meal if she follows us, even if it BE us, yeahh."Er...why is the bird that eats dead things following us?"
Re: Chapter 13 - Azurpenia's Prison
Storm 11 -- disks didn't make Yenny hungry; that was a curse. Disks may have made Hyde (?) drunk. Yenny has them.
Yenny listens to the listeners. She hears her stomach growl.
