Chapter 6: Unhallowed Halls
Re: Chapter 6: Unhallowed Halls
Morris turns the parchment over to Kragg.
I like what I see so far. It has two of my favorite words.

Re: Chapter 6: Unhallowed Halls
Kragg takes a look to see if there is anything more of his own language he can make out on the parchment. "Aye treasure be a favored word by me too."

Osprey
Hidden parchment? Curiouser and curiouser. He waits to hear developments on that front as he continues to focus on his study of demon banishment.

Morris hands the ancient map over to Kragg.
The thin, frail parchment seems as if it might crumble into dust at any moment in the gruff dwarf’s hands. He scrutinizes the map and struggles to make sense of the archaic runes.
GW, please give me an Intelligence check.

ok here you are sir. Though being that this is my native tongue would I get any bonus? You'd think you would know your own language better than someone that knows it as a foreign langauage would you not?Mant72 wrote:Morris hands the ancient map over to Kragg.

Re: Chapter 6: Unhallowed Halls
Yes, normally, but this is an extremly ancient map, and the type of Dwarven it is written in predates modern Dwarvish. I'll have an update tomorrow.GreyWolfVT wrote:ok here you are sir. Re: Chapter 6: Unhallowed Halls
Kragg struggles to comprehend the ancient parchment. He is certain the writing is an ancient form of his native tongue, but other than that, the only other piece of information he gleans is the word "Mountains”.
He believes he can identify the mountain range depicted on the map.

Kragg frustrated but not completely deterred "Eh well found one more word I like in this Mountains and I think I could identify the mountains that are in the map on this parchment."

The group continues to ponder the mysteries of the ancient map, but nothing new is revealed.

Yon says, It seems there is no more to be revealed here. Let us descend further. The barbarian might be gone but the stink of his piss still fills this room.

Hex will pack the book into his sack if there is space and ready himself for descending further into the bowels of the ruined monastery.
"Let us be cautious yes yes yes. See if there are any traps ahead before we rush down hmmmmm?"
The halfling feels a rest would be a good plan soon, to recover the companions health and powers. (And level up)

Osprey
Do we want to rest here or head down the stairs now?
Osprey will pack his book away. He will again lead the way cautiously if the decision is to continue down.
(unless someone else wants to take point...Osprey offered due to Dexterity and infravision)

Yon says, I see no need for rest, let's continue.
Re: Chapter 6: Unhallowed Halls
Well Will is quite seriously wounded, and Kragg isn't whole either. We have lost two of our warriors. It would be foolish to press on without all our advantages in place, who knows what dangers lurk deeper under the monastery hmmmmm? Hex suggests pointing at the monk.
