Re: OOC forum
Apologies on the truancy. School is kicking my ass right now. I will do my best for the next two weeks and then things should ease up a little for me.

Hey all.
It is time for my annual fall migration to the islands.
I will still try to post when I can, but if my actions are sporadic for the next 2 weeks, you will know why.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Hey, everybody, this just in: Travix has volunteered for hazard duty for the next two weeks! Let the games begin!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and we shall also use this time to also honor Travix's memory.

Re: OOC forum
Globally looking down on three other games in progress (and possibly this one as a fourth) I am curious: was there some site-wide memo I missed calling for "All Characters Dead By Christmas!" ? I'm still kind of new to Unseen Servant. Maybe this is just how you folks ring in the New Year. Ok, I'm a team player.
Ogre Mage, in response to your question about metagaming- don't sweat it. I have four coffins ready so go for it!

It's just the semi-annual sacrifice of digital lives to sate the suspended Ancient One the mods use to power the dice roller.

Re: OOC forum
Who gives a shit! These characters are nothing more than digital specks > just as easy to replace as they were to create.
I've lost two in two months and hoping for a third before the year is out!
Trying to reduce my gaming commitment for 2017.

Re: OOC forum
Oh, hedgeknight, you make me sad. I love my children (well, most of them). I get attached to some of the characters and so would mourn those passing. Although sating the blood lust of an Ancient One is a responsibility one must always take seriously so in that case I would stack children like cordwood and start a hewing. Just call me: Team Player! (that would be irony)
Re: OOC forum
When I fall into a groove with a character and their schtick evolves into something that is fun to play in all sorts of situations, it hurts to lose them. I've played crusty old sailors before, but Salt Peter's mix of ridiculous phonetics, ostentatious lack of principles, and all-around short-sightedness have made him a lot of fun, and it'll be hard to jump into a new character when he snuffs it.
Of course, nothing ruins fun faster than getting precious about a character. If you're not willing to risk the daring choice, the game is over.

Re: OOC forum
I just try to not get attached to "digital characters" because at any given moment, the game could end, the DM could disappear, or my character could get killed. After nearly 16 years of pbp's, I've learned to enjoy the ride while it lasts because it may not last long.

FYI, out of town from 26th until the 1st. Will try to maintain daily posts but no promises.
Re: OOC forum
Tried to clean up the maps thread with spoiler blocks so there is less to scroll through and added a current map of the Prancing Nanny. But never fear: the same high quality artwork remains.
(The wavy line is the curtained doorway to the kitchen in the Prancing Nanny map. The guard and closed door will be underneath the stairs going up to the balcony.)
P.S. That trunked abomination, whatever it is, that is about to cry higher up in this thread still creeps me out.
