Craxzus- We need to speak to the mayor or captain of the guard. We killed six of them on our way here. If you dont believe us we can take you there bodies.

Throm "You been waitin long Craxzus? Guessin they don care much bout orcs in large raiding armies."

[Blazeguard]

Thorgrim explodes, "You still sittin' here Craxus?! What is wrong with these people?" He starts pacing the floor, grumbling to himself, "Should have cut off one of their heads and brought it along to throw in their faces." Turning back to Craxus, "Do you know where this 'Master Ryan' might be? Hopefully he's not as dense as these lackey's of his."

Throm takes a seat rather than pacing around. Watches as Thorgrim paces and grumbles Throm grumbles a bit to himself and takes to looking over hands and making sure no orc blood is on his weapons.

[Dram]

Craxzus- These dimwits lackies think there safe behind these walls. I doubt they even informed there boss that I am even out here.

Throm "We could always go n knock on his door." the dwarf says with a smile while cleaning his war hammer.

Eirenaios questions the barkeep further.
"A town in a crater...supposen you mean da ruins up yonder in da mount. Heard tell its pretty old. Ne'er seen it myself as I aint one fer rock climbin, but I've heard talk of it. Mosta this area has been pretty well scouted, as you can imagine. Towns been here for a spell now.
A halfling in leathers sits down on the stool next to the elf. He plops a bag on the counter. "Somethin strong." he says laying a few silver pieces on the bar as well. He looks very sad. "Make it two." he tells the barman. "One fer me an one fer my lass. Killed by dees stinkin orcs." The tavern goes quiet at this for a second, then people continue talking. The halfling opens the bag to reveal an orc head. "Filthy things killed me sis."

As Throm, Thorgrim, and Craxzus begin to get impatient a man in armor, carrying a way hammer, escorts an elderly man in robes to a desk. The soldier eyes the dwarves suspiciously as the older man speaks.
"Hmmm...Apologies for the delay. I was in chambers with Lady Angela. Let's see..." he says opening a thick book. "Glad to see you are still working. I hope your other companions are well. It says here you are not due for your pay for another week....you know we don't do advances on pay, yes?"

[Blazeguard]

Thorgrim impatiently blurts out, "PAY!? You think this is about PAY?! THERE'S AN ARMY OF ORCS MASSING IN THE EMPTY CRATER OVER YONDER," he motions frantically, "AND YOU THINK WE'RE WORRIED ABOUT PAY?! We were able to take out one of their scouting parties but they're outfitting a whole army in the crater. Smelting and everything. You need to organize some troops and fortify this town before they get here."

Throm "Eh pardon tha lack of proper etiquette, but nah this aint bout pay, didna even know we was workin fer ya sir. But me friend here is right we scouted the crater an there be a horde a orcs livin in it. Camps en mass. An we only took ta scoutin it cause we encountered a raidin party that wiped out dear Evies farm an she was a great friend o ours may she rest in peace. They raized her home, an farm an me own house there. They were headin this way when we ambushed their little raidin party an got infermation bout there boss in the crater so's we checked it out and then cided ta come an warn yer fair town ere. They're plannin ta attack ya an soon." the dwarf says calmly but with a look of concern upon his face dead serious look in his eyes should there be any question of his stories legitimacy and extreme sorrow when he mentions Evie's farm.

Craxzus- Remembering the horrors that he saw at Evies. Lord Sir,Them orcs killed everyone. We left a friend back there on that farm. He is probably dead by now.

Eirenaios nods at the barkeep and smiles thinking that he won't be of any use.

Once he hears the halfling mourning his wife's passing he speaks to the barkeep, "This man's drinks are on me", he turns to the halfling, "Sorry to hear about your lass, those savages only want to tear this world apart", he pauses for a second and whispers to him, "Me and my group just killed 6 of them and apparently a leader has managed to unify the tribes to launch big raids on towns, care to join us and rid this land of the vermin making it bleed? Any information about the crater in the mountain would be very helpful, and if you have any companions willing to raise their swords for the good of this land, that would be even better"

"Its ok, Master Ryan." says a calm soft female voice. Lady Angela, who you recognize from Elizabeth Bay walks up the stairs and into the room. "This is exactly what I warned you about. I'll handle it."
The old man smiles at her and she in turn smiles to the dwarves and the elf.

"The three of you come with me. I have maps in my chambers we can consult." she says.
"Lady. Their weapons." says the stout guard standing my Master Ryan.
"Of course." she replies then looks to the group. "Weapons not held by guards are not allowed in the keep. You understand. Sir Reginold will hold them for you."

The halfling looks up to Eirenaios and speaks through choked sobs. "Me an ma sis ran into two an took'em on. Took this head 'ere. But dey was jus scouts. Another score or more showed up an we run, but she took an arrow in da back. I just kept goin. She were the strong one, ya see? I jus left'er. " he gulps his drink. "If'n you saw even more....I aint no help ta ya...They said deez lands were empty. Jus clear out some critters they said...easy silver." he shakes his head and looks into his cup.

Eirenaios takes a swig from his cup, "Don't blame yourself, we all have our limits, o one is responsible for her death but those beasts, we all have low moments that we regret but.....it's what you do after that counts, you can't hide and wish it all away, her soul won't rest if you don't avenge her"

He takes out the dragon etched staff he obtained from the wyvren's lair, he contemplated wether to check its properties here or some other place, he puts it back under his cloak and stands up, "I have a matter to take care of, I hope you choose the right decision"

He looks to the barkeep before leaving, "I would like a room for the day, that piece of gold covers it correct?"

" 'spose yer right." says the halfling. "Don't know what good I can be without me sis silvy but I should try sumptin. Perhaps I'll go talk ta dem big wigs at da keep. Show'em my trophy 'ere."

"Aye and then some." the barkeep says pocketing the coin with a wink. "Upstairs, room with the wolf head etched in the door. Keys on the mat."

Throm "I be a might upset if anythin were ta happen to me weapons but rule er rules here yah go." regretfully and a little hesitantly the surly dwarf hands over his war hammer and even more sorrowfully his throwing axe. "Be more careful with me axe if yah will sir."

[Blazeguard]

Thorgrim glares at the guard and grudgingly hands over his weapons. "I better get them back just as I gave 'em to ya."

[Dram]

Craxzus- Hands over his weapons. I hope you don't want to put a gag on my mouth. He says laughing.

"Oh I assure you, your property is quite safe " smiles the elderly master Ryan reassuringly.
"Please." says Lady Angela walking to the stairs. "The menace you speak of, you're not the first to suggest an increase in their activities. They've never been so bold as to attack a home or farm before."
You reach the bottom of the stair and walk a long hall with sturdy doors on each side.
"I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. We must take measures to ensure the safety of others."
She pulls a key from her sleave and unlocks a door.
"We'll discuss what you saw in my chambers here." she says opening the door anf waving you in. "I'll fetch some wine and bread. Will return shortly."

Throm "Eh? Wine? No offense but I'll pass on tha wine less yer gonna have a stout, ale er mead I'll be fine." the dwarf says with his most polite tone he can manage.
