D'oh! Completely missed that...too busy thinking about what Krysta was gonna do  8-)

Overcome with emotion, Krysta completely overlooks the rope Orrin has lowered to the ledge. He points it out to her and without another thought, she grabs the rope and begins to lower herself down.
(Does she need to make a roll?)

As she descends, she fires off questions:
"Bertram?
Is Galen breathing?
I'm coming!
Pelor help me, please!"
Winter is coming...

FYI, Galen should be at positive HP with the two sips from Bertram's healing potion. Niles will still be at negative HP even with all of Lug's potion.

Galen has some brew of his own, if Niles needs a few draughts...it's currently full.

So does Niles, come to think of it. Lug will use that if necessary, but a CLW might make more sense if Krysta is willing to use it.

Also, if the heat and fumes are enough of a threat to make time a critical factor, we could probably spend a round moving Niles and/or Galen at the cost of a few HP but with the benefit getting them inside of a tunnel where we can heal them more carefully and safely.

If healed up to positive (not 0), they will revive after one turn.
Wasn't Galen at 6 hp? 6-7+2=1. I was sort of counting on getting our cleric back on line so that he could heal others.

I was posting from my phone, where it's tougher for me to check current HP as I post. Yes, Galen will be up but it still takes a turn. The fumes at this point are more unpleasant flavor than active threat, in the short term. If someone of overcome, it just makes them need to escape from them and unable to see or pay attention to what's going on nearby, it won't kill them.

Niles lies still, stabilized by Lug and his healing potion, but still unconscious. His limp body, completely bereft of muscle tone and not fully grown to adulthood and not animated by his normal willful persona, looks tiny and fragile next to Lug's massive form.
Are you administering in sips or all at once? do you need to roll it?

Lug's potion is going in sips because he only has 3 sips left. Assuming Krysta casts CLW, Lug will administer sips from Niles's potion if her CLW doesn't bring him back to consciousness.

Niles potion is conveniently located in his belt pouch with his scant handful of coins.

Bertram replaces his healing brew into his bag, and answers back to the frantic Krysta with a yell.
"He's going be alright. Slow down before we have to nurse two clerics back to health."
He gives Galen a few gentle slaps on his chin, trying to wake him. "Alright, priest of Koios. Come back to us."

Krysta makes it to the ledge (I guess) and quickly hurries to Galen, her eyes searching him for injuries. Seeing Bertram coaxing some healing draught down his throat, she admonishes herself and remembers her training. She approaches Niles and kneels beside him. "Pelor, use my hands to heal..." she prays, laying hands on the unconscious young man.

Just to clarify: Lug will use sips from his his own potion to bring Niles back, assuming Krysta's spell was not enough.

Then he'll try to clear a way to the hole that's been exposed.

As I understand it: Niles had four hp and took nine damage. Krysta's spell brings him from -5 to 0 hp, so he'd still be unconscious for six hours. With sips from Lug's potion he'd wake up in 10 minutes. Whether Lug gives him 1 sip or 3 sips is up to Zhym. :)

I said he would! :P

I was just trying to avoid making Niles's HP count explicit, which I thought Keehnelf frowned on.

ETA: Oh, yeah, 1 or 3 sips. One. Then Niles is capable of drinking or sipping potions for himself while we get ourselves out of the heat and smoke.

May 26, 1 VC - 12:20pm

The group reassembles on the ledge below where most of their number have fallen, and the two traumatically-injured adventurers are nursed back to consciousness, if not health. As they wait for their companions, those least injured set to work clearing away the opening that has been revealed into the mountain's heart. After about an hour's work, the entrance is wide enough for easy entrance and exit for all assembled, including the wolfhound Ferris who consents to being lowered via rope if that is his master's wish.

The tunnel they reveal is ten feet wide and nearly as tall, with slightly angled walls that make it appear both taller and shorter than it is, deeply engraved on all sides with runes and stylistic flourishes of a distinctly dwarvish bent. The powerful light given off by the magma below allows the group to see a full sixty feet into the passage. Two doorways stand on the right side, one thirty and one fifty feet in, and a single doorway on the left, about twenty feet from the entrance. The corridor itself disappears into the darkness at the edge of vision.

Although he is surrounded by fumes and sweating like a huge sweaty guy, Lug breathes a sigh of relief. "The evil sword is destroyed and nobody died," he says. "I call it a win. Now let's find Adrienne!"

"Wow. That's a fancy hallway," he says, looking toward the corridor carved with dwarven runes. "Orrin, can you read any of that? It doesn't say 'KEEP OUT' or anything, does it? Unless anyone's got a reason we shouldn't, let's get in there. My time in the stinky sauna is just about up."

"The last time I saw any of these halls I was frogmarched down them in my skivvies with a spear at my back. Happy to have the time to look 'em over properly."

Orrin investigates the carvings on the walls.

Once Niles is breathing on his own, Krysta rushes back to Galen and collapses atop him, sobbing with relief.
"You...you scared me! I thought..." she can't continue, sniffling for breath and frantically wiping her face. "Praise Pelor, you are alive!"
She kneels over Galen and whispers, "Thank you, Lord of Light, thank you!"

Galen embraces Krysta, trying to comfort her. "I'm not so easy to kill as that." But he groans as he gets to his feet. "Not that this wasn't a damn good try." He gives her what is meant to be a reassuring smile, though he is clearly still in pain and unsteady, and will lean on her a bit. His face is flushed, both from the heat and from Krysta's open display of emotion.
"The evil sword is destroyed and nobody died," Lug says. "I call it a win."
Galen's face grows stern, but he winces in pain before he speaks. "I call it foolhardiness, that succeeded only through luck and the grace of the gods. I was all in favor of destroying the blade, but with more forethought we might have done it in a fashion that didn't nearly result in our deaths. If you have more clever ideas, I trust you will confer with your comrades before putting them into action?"

Checking his gear and armor for damage, Galen falls in with the rest of the party as they prepare to brave the tunnel.

Niles is licked awake by Ferris his wolfhound a few minutes after getting the sip of potion from Lug. "Thank you," he tells the large man. He struggles with his spindly limbs shaking, the complete absence of muscle tone from them even more apparent. Eventually his will and determination win. He is upright, leaning on his tall staff, and follows the others to the corridor.
