Hey guys,

I'm leaving for vacation in the morning. I'll be back next Saturday (the 16th), and I'm not sure if I'll be able to post. If I'm slowing things down, please NPC my character.

Thanks!

My son enjoys doing battles with my minis, though he's still to young to want to play D&D proper. Last weekend we had them all out and I assembled some battle scenes from the adventure...

I agree!

Minis were my gateway into D&D waaaaay back in 1980. I can't wait to introduce my two boys to the game when they're old enough. :D

I prefer the old Grenadier line of miniatures, and I have a load, but I can't paint so they're unpainted lead. I picked up a bunch of the plastic ones for a great price. They lack the heft of metal but the detail and color are good.

Yeah a lot of them now are all plastic. Though one time I was looking for the "good ones" at a hobby shop over in NH and found some pewter ones for warhammer that looks more fantasy like D&D. I think it was original Warhammer not the newer 40k stuff. So some places do have the better stuff.
