Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
Hey Stone, I got a character from a game that died last year who I'd love to bring in, but he's a half-orc. If I remember right, 2e proper doesn't do half-orcs, so not sure if you can accomodate. Also, not sure when I'd have the chance to convert the character from 1e to 2.5e (and really not all that clear on what makes it 2.5e, though pretty familiar with 2e so guessing won't be that difficult).
Let me know what you think and if you can accomodate a half-orc and an unknown timetable!

Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
I have one half orc character in the group right now. He, Shonuff, has vanished as of late. His spot is one that NEEDS filled. Any chance you would want to take that character over? Not required, but it is finished in 2.5, and is a good formidable fighter. Come check out the thread (have you read the story so far?) Skuzz is his name.

Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
My half-orc is a cleric, so would need to find a way to make that work in Greyhawk, I guess. But I'll check out Skuzz, too. I'm pretty open to taking over established characters, I like that challenge, and it would save on prep time. Time is rapidly evaporating in this new year...ugh.
Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
Poor Brother Darius, a Cleric of Pelor, stands on a red, sun-stained, mountain path. He is relatively certain that he is in the land of Pelor's nemesis, in the land of Iuz. He looks at the rocky cliff behind him. Waiting for you to come thru the dimensional gate.
My current player lineup consists of ...
Computer+!, his human cleric is Darius, cleric of Pelor (last post yesterday)
NJWilliam, his magic-using Wizard freed the djinn, who then opened the portal , is offered the chance to venture thru the portal to assist Darius (last post jan 2nd)
Vargr, his rogue thief is also offered a position in the expedition to help Darius. (last post Jan 3rd)
Epichicken, his dwarf Thor'ar, has already stepped thru to assist. (last action post Dec 17th)
Jobatett's bard, Jacob, is debating with himself on whether to take the bard college scholarship, or wager life and limb to assist someone he met 4 hours ago. (last post Dec 16th)
And Shonuff. (Nov 17th) I sure miss the half orc warrior Sckuzz.
This rate of posting isnt much to my liking so.......
I have given ALL of the group until Jan 10th-Jan 11th to respond whether they want to continue. After that, the thread will be archived and I will begin again, with my adventure entitled... "Out thru the Inn Door".
Ragenboneshaper is given first cue to replace one of the cut players.

Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
Sorry for delaying, big deadlines this week and got behind after the holiday. Still would like to join, will take Skuzz if that's ok. He seems a complicated chap, interesting background that I like. Still reading up on the thread so far, and have yet to completely wrap my mind around the differences from 2-2.5e. Guess that will come...
Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
I've added ragnboneshopper, to the group.....Shonuff has seen the business edge of my edit button.
Still room for 1 (maybe 2) more players.......

Still looking for a 1Ed player?

I believe Stonjuz is running a 2.5e game.Thatguy75 wrote:Still looking for a 1Ed player?

Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
Well Stonjuz, I admit the 2.5 has scared me off. After 2.0 I have no real details, so I have passed on this. But I am intrigued by the 2.0 NWP and character options associated as the generations have moved forward, so I will volunteer to jump in. Not so sure what build I might use, depends on the dice I suppose. I hope I am not going through CharGen for a dead game.
In any case, I assume 4d6, arranged to taste, given any of the handbooks to start?

Re: The Inn of the Unseen Servant - RECRUITING again
Any 2e character will work (without any changes) in 2.5. Transfer GARTH, the Druid, if you like. That would be the quickest way.
Crying shame the way that ended.
I can go over your point costs/skill choices to confirm. You just need to see if the transfer is good for you.
Or,You can come up with something completely different and use the optional races if you like. Minotaurs, Gnolls, Orcs, Goblins, etc.....?
Or you can play one of the NPCs, Benson & Hedges. (I can just hand you one of their sheets) I'll add you asap, thnks for considering.
yes, 4d6 type, just tell me race & class and we can get you there in a flash.

Re: Inn of the Unseen Servant - Greyhawk AD&D 2.5 Recruiting
Any chance you could bring me into this? I was going to join a face-to-face 2nd edition game, but it looks like it may have fallen through.

Re: Inn of the Unseen Servant - Greyhawk AD&D 2.5 Recruiting
Are you kidding? Of course you can join. Care to take on the roll of the abandoned dwarf fighter (Thor'ar) , or a Greyhawk human fighter (Benson), or something else?

For me, a great deal of the fun of playing, is dreaming up the character- so I would like to make my own.. On the other hand, if you desperately need someone to play one of the other PC's, I'm willing to give it a go. The character I had in mind is a gnome fighter, which might fill the role of the dwarf or human pretty well. Let me know which you option you would prefer.
If you weren't keen on my rolling up the gnome, I would choose to play the dwarf.
Re: Inn of the Unseen Servant - Greyhawk AD&D 2.5 Recruiting
No problem. Gnome is fine. You can draw up 2.5?
a 2nd edition character will work, but 2.5 allows for more detail of course.
Ill add you asap, before the morn is thru.
