Holding the map up towards the Oracle, Randolpho tries to give explicit directions the oracle in High Thulian. " Oracle, how do we open the iron door, <gives number of paces and direction to the door>", points to the map to be precise, trailing his finger from where the party is next to the oracle, to the room with the iron door.

After Randolpho asks this question, the face seems to looks at the map, then to look at you. It pauses, then answers, in High Thulian.

"The door to the Vault of Spoils of Imperial Conquest may be opened by you in two ways. The key is hidden on the Mural of Imperial Conquest, marked as 54 on your map. The door can also be opened with Theon's Efficient Knocker, which you possess."

Once Randolpho translates the Oracle's words, Torgyr lets out a low whistle. "Efficient Knocker, huh? Suppose that's what the rod is, then? Do we only get one question? I distinctly remember last time we were here the Oracle answered more than one. Perhaps it's one per petitioner?"

Do I remember that right? Didn't we have more than one question last time? If so, Randolpho should teach one of us how to ask the Oracle how the Knocker works. He can listen for the answer.

I can't remember how many questions we got before, but I can imagine some interesting responses when the word "knocker" gets misinterpreted...

The other questioner was Climent. The Oracle answers one question per petitioner who can speak to it (you tried getting someone to parrot the words last time with no success.

That is a pretty low bar though :P

I say we head further into the level and do some more exploring. We can always swing by the iron door on the way out and try out the magical door knocker. If we open that door we might not be able to lock it again. If it's full of loot then we're hauling down the mountain right then. I'd rather spend some time exploring and checking out the kobold area. suggests Ranulf. "Besides, they way this place it the "Vault of Spoils" is probably were they threw their rotting vegetables."

So, to the iron door now, or on your way out? The whole southern end of the map is unexplored.
