Wait - where did our little buddy go? Sneak off in the night? That's a pretty significant event!

He'd have left with Climent, since he was the one who charmed him.

Right, of course. I had forgotten that important detail!

Cue montage of Climent and kobold walking off into the evening, a shot of him teaching the kobold to fish, the kobold teaching him how to climb rocks, laughing, sharing a meal together.

Wait, what the hell is wrong with me?

This, of course, lasts only until the charm wears off. The next morning, they find Climent, strangled by little baby hands.

Just picking up on some scribbled notes before Quinn does anything again and I forget.

The Oracle only 'knew' about this one level of the Dwimmermount and did not know of Termax present status. Morna the Matriarchs was concerned some ghost or demon escaped his execution, don't think the illusion we saw was that demon but maybe a representation of it. The demon still exists, (assumption) on the 1st level? Oracle spoke in High Thulian.

Quinn's runes rubbing from the black pillar if Magistus was a spell which produced obedience in servitor races, or something like that. Can Bro Galen or another spell user learn to cast such a thing? Could Quinn learn such wizardry?

Quinn has the silk robe worn by the slain female wizard. The one with all the symbols embroidered on. Was there any indication it belonged to a wizard of a certain arcane persuasion, a necromancer, enchanter, illusionist? Quinn is ignorant if these things but presumes the wizards branch into speciality groups much like the priestly class. Is it worth much?

Wait... is Quinn leading a separate expedition to the dwarven door while we're back? Is that just to check if the door is open? Or is Quinn planning on a delve?

EDIT: Stirling posted while I was typing. Lemme respond to that...

It definitely appeared to be just an illusion. As for any actual demon, Climent said that Turms was supposedly involved with a bunch of demon-summoning, necromantic, and other unsavoury magic - that's why faiths like Galen and Solaine's overthrew him, I think - so it could be there is more than one demon, and we may yet find them. However, I don't think we've seen any evidence that we actually need to worry about one on this first level.

Wow! Good memory. I had forgotten this. I don't think Galen can learn such a spell, as it's probably arcane, but he can have a look at it in that light. This is all the more reason for us to find a Mage.

We need someone familiar with Collegiate Wizardry, methinks. What about Randolpho? Isn't he a failed apprentice Mage?

I am indeed a failed apprentice, what can I deduce from the robe? A particular school?

Didn't we also find some writing near the statue in room 27 that stated there was a "demon" to the south?

Yes. Wasn't that referring to the illusion we saw? I'll admit that I assumed it was...

Barkman recognizes the symbols as being related to the School of starry wisdom, mage's who specialize in astrology and divination. Their power waxes and wanes much more strongly than most with the seasons and phases of the moon, and they are usually sages and advisors, not adventurers.

These "schools" are less like an actual wizard academy, and more like affiliation of people who learned from common teachers.

Unfortunately, I'm a little confused, because there was "voting" for where to go in 2 different threads, and people might have changed their minds. Are you going in the front door or the dwarf door?

I think we're trying to get clarity from Stirling on what Quinn wants to do... the votes seem primarily to be for front door/Oracle, other than Quinn.

Absolutely right... Randolpho recognizes it.

Do we have at least 3 votes for front door/oracle? Since it's in 2 places, and Dogma switched, I'm not sure where we're at.

Alright, cool.

Then I think we need a marching order (without Plud and Climent), and for everyone to update their sheets with what you're actually carrying in (are you carting treasure in? How many flasks of oil, etc).

Based on the discussion on the forum, I'm going to update the spear/pole arm rules. I think I'm gonna go with them being 1 stone, must be dropped to use a bow (and take a round to pick up), and break on a natural 1. One handed wielding of spears cleaves at half the normal rate, but two handed is normal.

Quinn us fine with front door, he just suggested a excursion to the dwarven door as a way to use the few days until supplies arrive instead of sitting around one horse town, Muntberg.

Happy to go to the mount no problem.
