OOC Discussion 3
Re: OOC Discussion 3
I think we might get through level 1 without a mage but definitely think we should get one before delving to lower levels...
If we haul out some of the broken statues during our next treks, when we're done with the level we could take them and Quinn's rubbing to Adamas to sell and decipher and pick up a mage there...

Re: OOC Discussion 3
Sounds good.
Re: OOC Discussion 3
Works for me.
Re: OOC Discussion 3
And haul out the Oracle?
Re: OOC Discussion 3
It's been a while, but remember, the statues all have Turms' head on them, which is kind of blasphemous. This might limit their marketability.
That said, you did find the head of Tyche in the vault where Solaine almost got killed.
If you want to take these statues, or the Oracle, be aware that they are big... something like 30 stones. And the Oracle is actually attached to the wall.

Re: OOC Discussion 3
I'm worried too that if we remove the Oracle from the dungeon it may stop working
Re: OOC Discussion 3
So we find rogue who can go invisible and do ventriloquism. Hawk out all questions answered at 100gp each....
If we are going to wait a few days for supplies before we go clear out level one, why not use the time to check out the dwarf door entrance? If the seals are broke elsewhere in the mount, maybe non-dwarves may pass?

Re: OOC Discussion 3
Torgyr would agree on the Oracle removal. He'd be worried it would be broken should it get removed.
Although, one could always...ask the Oracle what would happen...

Re: OOC Discussion 3
Just a reminder, I suggested we ask the Oracle about how to open the metal door and what's behind it...

Re: OOC Discussion 3
Sorry, I just noticed a typo in my last post.
Torgyr wouldn't agree to removing the Oracle, for fear of breaking or destroying whatever magic makes it work.
But we could ask the oracle about it...
And yes, we should ask what's behind the metal door first!

Re: OOC Discussion 3
I think the first question should be how to open it. If we can manage to ask another we can ask about room contents.
Re: OOC Discussion 3
Would rather ask a question about the demon. Doors locks can be picked, hinges filed through, etc The demon is not a wandering monster, maybe summoned or released to aid Termax.
Re: OOC Discussion 3
I think you might get a handle on this one by discussing it with the rest of the party...Stirling wrote:Would rather ask a question about the demon. Doors locks can be picked, hinges filed through, etc The demon is not a wandering monster, maybe summoned or released to aid Termax.

Re: OOC Discussion 3
What "demon" are you referring to? The only one we've seen was nothing more than an illusion. Asking about it now feels a bit like wasting a question. I wanted to ask about the door because it looks serious enough to be protecting something valuable, the lock was good quality and we couldn't pick it, and the door was metal and clearly immensely difficult to get through.Stirling wrote:Would rather ask a question about the demon. Re: OOC Discussion 3
Regardless, it looks like investigating the dwarf door and asking questions of the Oracle are going to have to be separate ventures - by the looks of the map the dwarf door is in the south east corner, about as far from the Oracle as it's possible to get. I doubt we'd be doing both in the same expedition.

Re: OOC Discussion 3
I"m for going back in the front to ask the Oracle head about the iron door.
Re: OOC Discussion 3
I agree. Let's try the locked doors first.
Re: OOC Discussion 3
So who is coming for the Dwarven door expedition? A two day recon until our supplies and goods turn up at the camp? And who is henchmen to whom and what happened to the kobold?
Re: OOC Discussion 3
I'll take that as 2 for oracle, 1 for Dwarf door, I guess. Unless you guys actually want to split up...?
Plud and Climent are gone. So is the kobold. Zim is Randolpho's henchman. Emm is Galen's henchman. Audi is Ranulf's henchman.
