hedgeknight wrote: As for character sheet...haven't really though about it to be honest. Still waiting to get some solid confirmation that this game is actually going to happen. That being said, if you have a generic character sheet you want to start toying with, feel free to go ahead and do so. In the meantime, I'll search around and see what I can find. I know that Dragonsfoot has some good sheets, and there are probably some lying around these forums too.
Do yourself a favor and use the character sheets in the Unseen Servant dice roller:

...as long as I throw in a couple of +3 Hammers of Dwarven Throwing, maybe the Axe of Dwarfish Lords, and some wild and wooly dwarven women!

If we can get confirmation from mithrandir138, Brund, and Hoondatha then we'd have 5, and that's a lucky number...for Dwarves anyway!

Goodness, looks like I was a touch slow in my last post. So now we're just waiting on confirmation from mithrandir138 and Hoondatha.

Doh! Didn't recognize the charcter sheet post (which is very cool btw) was from Mith. I knew the smoked pork chili verde I made today was *hot* but it must have burnt a few brain-cells.

Anyone have an idea of what class they're thinking about playing?

Seriously, I am cool with whatever. I will play whatever race/class that the group requires. I am more about making sure that we have a good balanced party than anything else. If we are doing all dwarves, then that limits what we can do, but hey -- who cares! Let's do it!

Are we going to do diving into supplemental materal in 2e, or are we doing PHB only? Meaning: are the kits in the splats legal.

Well I can play a warrior, rogue or cleric (Dwarven of course) so whatever is needed just let me know! I really can't decide yet. I guess I will roll up a character and see what stats I get. Is there a peference on method used for stats?

I am down with this since it seems Shonuff's game is dead. I'll bring back my legendary dwarf from 3.5 Oggle Steambottle. Not sure what class but most likely a brute tough as nails fighter who can't hit the broad side of a barn lol.

Very good; It looks as if we'll have 5-6 in the group.

So we have a definite warrior class (Aquebman), and 4-5 undecideds. Well that's further than we were at noon.

Hedgeknight seemed to be okay with my being a dwarven palladin so we know he's alright with fudging the rules some. I'll wait to see what his response is regarding kits though.

One last thought, the character creator is requesting a game ID. Could you provide that to us hedgeknight when you're ready?

Thanks

Since several of us are not fond of kits, let's not use those. Cool beans?

I'm gonna cap us at six players (for now):

Mith
Brundt
Ray
Aquebman
Hoon

Am I missing someone?

Yes, use the sheet mithrandir posted! Excellent stuff - I need to play around with it myself.

As for character creation - 4d6 drop lowest works well, unless there is another preference.

Will post more later - in the middle of a movie right now - back in a couple hours.

Dammit I think I missed the signup!!

I would like to be in, 2nd edition is my true love.
I have also seen most of the games I am in die off. :(

If I missed the first cut I would like to be put on the wait list.

Not to be pedantic, but we are using Method V, correct? (not "down the line", but assigning scores as you want them)

I believe Hoondatha had expressed and interest in participating. If he's unavailable then it looks like Computer+1 would like to join our merry band O' Dwarves.

That's right Brund, thanks for the correction. Well at least we have enough players, it really sucks when games go dormant and players are left orphaned.

Quick question for you US vets, do we roll up the stats using the US dice roller or do we just use RL dice and put the stats in the e-character sheet?

Either works. Depends on the DM.

Also he can set up theCampaign on the roller without waiting for the games forum to be set up. That way you can get the Campaign ID. This looks like it'll be a fun game. Good luck guys!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.
