Can we see what the voices are coming from yet?

Re: The Alchemist Lab
Peering into the caves mouth you can see where the narrow passage dips and rises out of sight about 15' in. There is no reflection of fire light and its very dark. The dwarves figure they'll be able to see whoever it is when they're about 15' in still crawling on their bellys.GreyWolfVT wrote:Can we see what the voices are coming from yet?

Thorgrim holds up 3 fingers to alert the others that there are 3 individuals in the cave. He tightens his grip on his axe and glances over at Throm as he gives him a quick, little nod. The anticipation of battle begins to build as he prepares himself to attack. He will attack as soon as they appear in the cave mouth to prevent the orcs from sandwiching him and Throm between them and the one still in the cave.

Eirenaios readies his sling and motions with his hands that they need to keep one alive to interrogate.

Voice 3: "I tellz ya weez close ta da goodies. Dem wormies didn drag dem ponys far from da wagon. Gots ta be close."
The voices echo through the cave and the sounds of them scuttling through the muck gets closer until you can see two orcs crawling on their bellies toward the exit where the dwarves now wait.

Eirenaios takes out his sling and shoots a bullet at the closest one.

Eirenaios' shot ricochets off the narrow opening alerting the orcs before they are clear.

Craxzus returns to the party and sees everyone staring up at the cave entrance.

Thorgrim shoots Eirenaios a dirty look as he mutters under his breath...
He quickly grabs his crossbow and cocks it. If he can still see an orc scrambling back down the tunnel he will squeeze off a shot otherwise he will reset and put the crossbow back down.
DEX: 10
Crossbow Attack (34%): [1d100] = 47
Crossbow damage: [2d4+2] = 4+2 = 6
Dodge (73%): [1d100] = 61

Re: The Alchemist Lab
Throm using his enhanced throwing axe will join in the ranged assault. Attempting to avoid any return attacks and calling his axe back to him to throw again should a fool orc stick his head back out where he can see it.
Throwing Axe (62%) [1d100] = 55 Damage [1d6] = 4
Dodge (72%) [1d100] = 57

Re: The Alchemist Lab
The elf just stands there, "Ummm.......sorry, I might have jumped the gun there, I am not the best when it comes to battle strategies", Eirenaios who was confident a minute ago is bowing his head in shame.

Ruken will remain low to the ground, keeping himself hidden if possible, or at least hard to hit.
Hide Check 28% [1d100] = 86
The gnome, not being a fighter, will wait and see how the situation plays out before moving from his spot. "I wonder if the orcs will still be open to diplomacy? I mean, no one killed anyone yet, right?" Ruken says this to the group out loud, not even bothering to whisper at this point.
He hears Throm and Thorgrim. "Oh... well then, um, maybe they are very forgiving orcs?"

Re: The Alchemist Lab
Thorgrims energy bolt sparkles against the roof of the narrow cave, barely missing one of the foul orcs, but Throm has a bit more luck slinging his throwing axe that bites deep into a screaming orcs shoulder before flying back to his hand covered in dark blood.
"Deyz witches!" growls one of the orcs retreating into darkness.

Re: The Alchemist Lab
Craxzus- Looks at the group confused. What where did the Orcs come from? You guys are always finding trouble. He looks at the cave entrance. Lets get some wood and leaves stacked up in front the hole. We will smoke them out. I got a spell that will send the smoke right up the tunnel. And we will see if there is a exit.
If everyone agrees to the plan. He will cast "Guide Air"

"Sounds like a great idea!" Thorgrim agrees. "This time let me and Throm take care of them unless you're sure you have a shot" he says, looking at Eirenaios.

Eirenaios bows his head again in apologetic shame when Thorgrim looked at him.
and he nods in agreement with Craxzus's plan.
