"Oh! Now what do we have here..." Ruken collects the Vervain Buds along the way, quite happily at that. With a smile on his face, the gnome crouches down and harvests the buds of the colorful flowers and recalls their use while mixing up elixirs. "Liquid Heroism anyone? Strange as it sounds, I can use these later on to make your already excellent combat performances, well, even better!"

Though he may be 'flower picking', the gnome takes his job seriously, and stays focused on the small task before him. He catches up with the group a few moments later and asks them how far yet they have to go. Ruken sounds eager enough to explore today.

Excited Eirenaios tilts his his head, "A rest? can't you smell it? Adventure is so close! And it smells like an ancient tomb filled with dusty tomes ready to be read and discovered!"

The party walks on for a couple hours until you reach the familiar spot among the boulders where the dead bodies lay, just down hill from the carrion crawler cave.

As they get closer Thorgrim excitedly rushes ahead and begins checking out the mouth of the cave. He will do a quick recon of the entrance to the cave and the area immediately surrounding it to make sure that there are no monsters or enemies waiting to ambush them.

Ruken listens in on the reports and suggestions. He is amazed at how Craxzus can change into animals like that, but is skeptical of its effect on the mage himself. You cannot gain something without losing something of equal value, its a basic principle taught to those who learn about alchemy. The gnome figures that it also true in everything else in the world, a natural law.

"Surely he must be tired after performing such magic. Craxzus, how are you faring, think we need to stop and rest for a bit?"

As the group arrives at the carrion crawler site Craxzus snaps some twigs trying to look into the woods to the south of the trail.
Tyrion (npc) speaks up "Looks like E's needin ta take a leak, eh?" he takes some meat out of his pack and chews it heartily.

Eirenaios nods, "I know first hand how hard magic can be on the body, I suppose a rest isn't the end of the world", Eirenaios doesn't stay still but paces back and forth with his mind buzzing with all sorts of ideas about what he might find in the tomb.

Thorgrim quietly retreats from the cave entrance and motions the others to stay silent. "There are at least 2 individuals in there looking for silver bars." he whispers. "Throm, how 'bout you and I wait and ambush them as they come out of the cave?"

Ruken heeds the dwarf's warning and drops to the ground, laying on his stomach while pushing his hat down to avoid detection. "What sort of individuals? The beasty kind, men?" He whispers.

Ruken's eyes widen upon hearing Thorgrim's response. "Orcs, so... beasty men then? Not that I'm saying every Orc behaves like a beast, I've seen civil ones before, I think..." The gnome continues to mutter to himself, everything said just under a whisper.
