Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
Re: Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
Okay, I'm home. I need some time to get back to business, but fear not!
Also, don't bully MW. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Hi, everybody!
My thesis defense is coming up soon! Which is a big and mind-consuming thing. I think I can still do the "one post every other day" schedule. Just forgive me if my posts are lackluster or if I make you wait.

No problem Fulci! Life comes before the game.
And as someone who has both run games and played in games, been hyper in activity and disappeared for months and months... I totally understand

Re: Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
What do you mean you can't devote countless hours to this game? Why do you think I signed up for this?!?
All kidding aside, it's all good, this weekend has been a hectic one and I almost had no time to do anything other than work.
So long as you don't pull a MonkeyWrench and dissapear for months, we'll be good!
(Love you MW <3)

Re: Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
I'm fine so long as the game and players don't up and vanish into the night

Re: Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
The sudden disappearance of all members of this game over one night would be very eerie, especially if you were the only survivor Greywolf.
Sure, I'd frustrated too if that happened, for the first couple of weeks, but then when I realize NONE of them came back, that's when the uneasiness will turn into a something much more disturbing. The plot of a horror campaign... would be an interesting idea to follow. Waking up to a ghost town that was full lively just last night. All your group mates, gone...

I'd play it! My first move would obviously be to steal back my yard equipment from the neighbor.Rukellian wrote:The sudden disappearance of all members of this game over one night would be very eerie, especially if you were the only survivor Greywolf.

Re: Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
"You see, there's some question about my identity," a lone man says to himself as he sits at stool at some service station.
"Let me put it to you this way: I'm not sure who I am, but I got $2, and I'm hungry -- that much is established." The man pauses and waits for a reply, turning his head around and around to see if anyone comes out of the kitchen or walks through the stations' front door.
"$2, and I'm hungry!" He shouts again. Nothing.
"I'm gonna wake up in a minute."
"I know it."
"I'm gonna wake up. Anybody here?" The man exits the station and wanders through the town he spotted earlier, abandoned, empty, not a soul to be found. He passes store windows full of goods, street stands, phone booths, a beautiful park, all empty, no one to be found. The man grows even more anxious as he stumbles in and out of buildings, looking for anyone, anywhere, SOMETHING.
The man eventually spots a figure in the distance, sitting in a vehicle. He rushes over, giddy with excitement. He finally found someone! "Hey! Hey! Hey, miss? Miss, over here!"
The man approaches the vehicle and props himself against the tinted window, just barely seeing the outline of a woman.
"Look, I wonder if you could do me a favor," he says to the woman. She remains quiet.
"It's the craziest thing, but I've looked and I haven't seen anybody around."
"Maybe they're all asleep or something, but -- well, literally, there hasn't been a soul." She doesn't respond, the man continues, however, thinking she's just the shy type.
"Look, I don't want you to think I'm nuts or anything."
"It's nothing like that."
"It's just that, well -- it's just that I don't seem to remember who I am." The man gives the thousand yard stare, as he gazes out into the distance. He is definitely disturbed by this realization. An empty town, no memory of who he is, only a name printed on his jumpsuit. He looks to the woman inside the vehicle for support, reassurance that he is not alone.
"Well, it's a real oddball thing, but, when I woke up this morning, I -- well, I didn't exactly wake up."
"I just -- I just found myself out on that road, walking..." He grows more and more unnerved by the person's silence. He knocks on the window. No movement. He grabs the handle on the door and finds that it is open. A mannequin is inside. He takes a step back, then another, a look of horror and denial clear on his face. He stumbles to the ground and runs, screaming, hysterical. Shouting for help! No one replies.

Re: Vault-Tec: OOC Chatter
A cursory glance of your surroundings reveal that you woke up in your own backyard. There is an eerie silence about the area as you get up a bit dazed. The wind is dead, all of the doors to all of the houses are open, and not a single soul can be found. It is about mid-day and your stomach rumbles, the reason behind your awakening. You remember only having a quick breakfast, as you were determined to get the lawn work out of the way, quickly. You were on your way to your neighbor's house to pick up the weed-whacker you let him borrow.MonkeyWrench wrote:I'd play it! Approaching his house, you find that the front door to his house is open too. You call out, but hear no response, strange... You decide to head out back to his garden shed. It must be in there you think to yourself. Approaching the small structure, you notice the next strange occurrence of the day. The shed door is closed, locked actually with a padlock.
Cuz... why not?
