Everyone starts loading items into the collapsible little keep, which opens into an empty 10'x10' room.
Books are tossed in. Some silver bars are placed within. 2 racks of vials are gently laid inside. Tyrion (npc) begins to help Ruken carry the heavy foot locker when Craxzus fumbles one of his racks causing 2 of the vials to break and the rest to clatter noisily across the tile floor. For a split second everyone freezes...was that loud enough to alert the demon???

Craxzus offloads the vials into the keep. Goes back and grabs some of the tombs. He will try to grab anything that looks important using his skills of Arcane Knowledge.

Ruken is glad that everyone is on the same page, 'grab as much as they can get the heck out of there!' The gnome cringes upon the sounds of loud dropping of loads and the breaking of fragile glasses, but he forces the thoughts aside as he focuses on the next task at hand. His years of copying alchemical scripture from his master's journals shall now be put to the test. Can he copy the contents of the blackboard quickly and accurately enough? He quickly searches for some scrap parchment and the writing tools needed for the job, remembering that there was a desk somewhere in the lab.

With items in hand, he will try to concentrate on the task before him, copying the blackboard contents for later review.

Search Check 46% [1d100] = 58 for writing parchment and tools

Alchemist Script Check 28% [1d100] = 85 oh no...

Luck Check 40% [1d100] = 93 ... this can't be happening

The gnome will be concentrating on the task. He will keep at it for each round until he thinks he has enough written down (which might have to be all of it considering his knowledge in the Scripts...).

Tyrion(npc) grabs some potions and helps Craxzus scoop up spilled vials. "Ye ainna gonna got time ta scribble alla dat!" he says to the gnome, looking at the complexity of the chalk boards diagrams. "Not less ya take a day ta do so."
In the rush Throm drops some books but their noise is much less than the glass vials.
Ruken dashes back and forth between the desk with the log and the blackboard. Sliding a bit over the spilled elixers.
Craxzus returns to the library, after dumping his load of vial racks into the mini castle, and begins pulling books from the shelves as Thorgrim runs to follow him. The dwarf spots the demoness coming through the curtain of the west room and is distracted. He slams into Craxzus from behind, knocking one of the shelves completely over. It is obvious the demon has been alerted!

"No, I can't stop now! He was on the verge of something grand, developing a new form of life! I can't leave this knowledge behind!" The gnome sounds frantic as he says this, almost as if he would rather die then give this up.

"Maybe the demoness can be reasoned with? Buy us some time?" Ruken continues to try to do the impossible while coming up with crazy ideas of diplomacy in the process.

Alchemist Script Check 28% [1d100] = 81 'Can I short hand the short hand...?' he thinks to himself.

Luck Check 40% [1d100] = 85 'This is a horrible dream I will wake up from...' he thinks to himself.

Idea Roll 90% [1d100] = 21 'Can I salvage this current predicament in ANY way?' he thinks to himself as he stares at the huge black board before him, his eyes drifting towards the demoness.

As Eirenaios comes back from his second trip of bringing the books

Luck(80): [1d100] = 80

He sees the demon and is caught once again in the beauty of the mystical being but he shakes it off quickly, he chucks the books in the hut then calls to those closest to it, "Come back quick, I hope this will slow it down"

Eirenaios is at his wits end, he has very little power compared to the demon but he casts Guide earth on the small passage connecting the two rooms, blocking its way, after throm and craxzus pass to the other side of the room.

Sorcery(89): [1d100] = 72

Wether his attempt is successful or not he nudges Ruken, "Make the hut smaller and carry it, quickly!! I will try to help you with this but there is no time!", he takes a piece of paper and tries to scribble whatever is on the chalk board.

Scribe(47): [1d100] = 79

Wild, crazy ideas are indeed going through the gnome's head! He looks to the blackboard and back to the direction of the demoness in a panic. 'How much is my soul worth anyways...no! No! But... if...' A dark thought comes to mind and starts to take shape.
"Make the hut smaller and carry it, quickly!! I will try to help you with this but there is no time!"
Easily one to be distracted by his own thoughts, Ruken is nudged back into the reality at hand and is reminded of the hut.

After a moment's pause, as if being snapped out of a trance, the gnome says the following to Eirenaios, "Knowledge can be a sweet temptress, you know? I- I will have to come back for this later. I have to prioritize... yes." The gnome, with some level of willpower, manages to turn his back to the board full of valuable alchemical script and intones the necessary word to shrink the hut, making sure no one is still inside.

Alchemist Script Check 28% [1d100] = 29

Ruken shudders afterwards, having made up his mind. "I hope, I hope I won't regret this later..." He sets his sights on leaving the lab with the group now, carefully picking up the hut on the way out.

The group deposits its last armload of stuff into the hut and Ruken speaks the words Diminish in ancient Alchemic tongue, causing the hut to magically shrink to its original hand held size.
Tyrion grabs his ax, ready to defend his comrads retreat.
Eirenaios, at his wits end, comes up with an idea to block the demons passage. He knows the spell Guide Earth only works on soil and rock but hopes there is enough just under the tiled floor to make a difference. The elf feels out with his magically attuned senses and feels a great quantity of rock in the room to the north west and the little bit of coal piled up to the north. Choosing the rock he motions towards it. Beckoning it to comlpy. He completes his incantation as the others run to the eastern exit they came in by and the floor begins to shake.
As he watches 2 more winged woman, much more horrid than the first follow the demon from the room. The have ugly vulture like heads. One screeches and both begin to charge the elf as the succubus laughs.
The temperature in the entire room grows even hotter than before.
Suddenly, guided by Eirenaios' hand, a gush of molten rock pours into the library, enveloping the fallen book shelf and the two bird like demons! They release an unearthly cry of anguish as the lava devours them and all in its path. Flames shoot up around the remaining shelves and the liquid rock pours thickly into the alchemists lab. Even though his incantation has stopped, Eirenaios sees this flow is beyond his control and moving of its own accord. Even though it may be small, he has started an eruption!

Eirenaios stood there, eyes almost empty staring at the hot lava climbing its way up slowly, at the demons's carcasses evaporating in the heat slowly, at the standing demon who seemed to have stopped laughing, he takes it all in for a second then smiles. He looks at his trembling hands and raises them to his eye level, he sees the lava through the cracks between his fingers as if it were gushing out of it, the smile turns into a faint laugh, then it gets louder, he raises his hand higher and laughs maniacally. For the time being he thought he unveiled his true potential and he summoned the lava itself, he thought that it wasn't a simple coincidence, his thirst for magic blinded his sensibility, he wanted to believe it, so he did.

He stops for a second to look at the demon, not in fear but in total unfiltered arrogance, he turns his back to it then continues to laugh as he runs to the exit.

Lava continues to flow into the room, spreading its fiery destruction as it consumes tables and the machina who just idly melt in the liquid inferno.
Everyone heads back east, past the coal room, past a southern unexplored room, down the stairs to the main tunnel with the mine tracks.
