Can the foremost party members already tell what that symbol on the right hand wall at the end of the corridor stands for?

Ops, missed that one. It seems to be the beginning of a stairway going down.

So we are using the element of surprise to open the door quickly and looking , or going, inside?

I figure either we surprise someone behind the fishy door, or we get intelligence and continue on down the stairs...?

Ra the Monk will be leaving the campaign for the time being due to timing issues. I have re-opened the recruiting thread to try and obtain a replacement player.

Apparently we have a replacement for Ra the Monk which will be stepping in to take over Ozborn. The user has been added and should be making his intro here soon.

We might also have another user joining to run a new addition to the adventuring party.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'll work on the picture. Considering the fact that I didn't build the character I don't have a concept at this time. I'll just have to wing it until I do :?

Am I correct in assuming Ozborn is attempting to disarm the trap? Or is he just checking it out?

Is a mechanism for triggering the trap visible? If it isn't, stepping over the wire might be the best option.

What about simply cutting it? It looks as if you have to pull the wire (when stumbling upon it) to make the trap work.

yea, normally , at this level, its best to avoid traps, rather than disarming them. chance of failure is usually too high for the risk. of course, ya dont get as much xp for walking around it. tying a piece of cloth to the wire is one way to make it more visable., or tying rope around it and retreating to a safe place and pulling to activate it. but neither option is always foolproof though.

Word to the wise: failing a disarm traps roll doesn't necessarily mean the trap goes off. In this case it happened because the roll was so bad.

Thank you Zeb. We had two volunteers to take over Ozborn so I had the idea of turning an NPC into a PC if the later comer was willing to run him. :)
