yeah lets say we leave the pillars alone.

Hey, you never know. Maybe each pillar has a different effect, with some of them beneficial! Why not try?

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Well what are our choices?
Chop the door down anf cross the pit - this may lead somewhere we haven't been.
We tried at least one key in the lock and turned it twice both directions. Unless we want to turn it 3 times?
I don't recall if we tried the other key - anyone know?
The last option is going through the sword room.
Nothing I have missed is there?
Oh yes - systematically try every section of wall for secret doors but that could take some time!

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Since Quinn physically can not touch the key, can someone humor me and try turning it counterclockwise at least 2 more times?
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Urdak will give it a go.
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Sorry for the unexpected absence, we in Lee county, IA have had a complete outage of phone and 'net access for the past 2 days until about half an hour ago.

The Ghost of Odilo kicks the others in the arse "What are you fools doing just sitting on your hands?"

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
OOC: Thanks for the map, how are we on food, water and light? and what gems and treasure can we divide up. McCloud for his mind would favour going all the way back to the corridor with the spheres' in, though it is a very long way over pits and through rooms with who knows what dangers, two adders somewhere past the shaking room as well. The northern door in the temple room is very well guarded by ghosts wielding swords and shields, we don't have enough firepower to take them on. McCloud when the mirror images cease and Penfold dissipates is out of magic until he can learn new stuff and replenish material component. Armed only with a quiver of useless arrows (bow and sword gone), and a wand of lightening. Perhaps we can have an assessment of what lotions and potions we have. I think we will have to be guided by the good hand of Brother Skarlos, his god be praised, "Get me out of here alive bro and I'll tithe all my fortune to your good church"
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Until Urdak gets some sort of remove curse, he's useless, other than a battering ram or cannon fodder. I think this fact would put him ill at ease, and I'm understating.
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Busy couple of days. Came back to find Quinn dead....Ouch!

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Yeah.ouch indeed, could have been any of the four of us I think. Perhaps Quinn just saved vs death ray lower or it was a random melt a character role? I think we can not defeat the skull without proper magic defence and weapons so an exit strategy is the name of the game now.
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Saving throws? In the Tomb of Horrors?
Sorry about killing Quinn while you were away. If it makes you feel any better, there's nothing he could have done to prevent it.
No, I guess that wouldn't be a comfort.

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
No worries. PCs die.......in Tomb of Horrors....lol
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
The entrance really should have a book where you can sign in and list the next-of-kin you want notified of your death.
Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Sorry for being MIA for a couple of days!
Time for Clan Rexx to hit the road for a couple of weeks. I'll have net access most of the time, but I'm certain I won't be online alot.

Re: OOC (formerly Questions for the DMs)
Odilo's body crumbled to dust, his soul was sucked into one of Acererak's gem teeth, and the only three survivors of the tomb are trying to find a way out of it.
What I'm saying is: you probably don't need to hold on to Odilo's character sheet.
