internet is very sketchy where I am. Will do my best to try and post and keep up; but if the wind blows or a naked lady runs in front of me, I may be not be able to get on much in the next 3 days.

According to the rules on "Short Rest":
A short rest is a period of downtime, at least 1 hour long, during which a character does nothing more strenuous than eating, drinking, reading, and tending to wounds.
A character can spend one or more Hit Dice during a short rest, up to the character's maximum number of Hit Dice, which is equal to the character's level. For each Hit Die spent in this way, the player rolls the die and adds the character's Constitution modifier to it. The character regains hit points equal to the total.

Recovering spells is not possible during a "short rest" but rather requires a "long rest."
According to the rules on "Spell Slots":
Regardless of how many spells a caster knows or prepares, he or she can cast only a limited number of spells before resting. Manipulating the fabric of magic and channeling its energy into even a simple spell is physically and mentally taxing, and higher-level spells are even more so. Thus, the character sheet for a spellcaster includes how many spell slots of each level the character can use at each character level...When a character casts a spell, he or she expends a slot of that spell's level or higher, effectively "filling" a slot with the spell...Finishing a long rest restores any expended spell slots.

So, with a short rest, you can regain some lost hit points, but to regain any spell slots, you would need a long rest which is at least 8 hours. Just FYI.

I don't think that a long rest is what we need here. We should get moving before the ambush party is missed and more come looking.

Short rest will at least get us all close to max HP.

Aslaan will bring up the rear of the marching order again entering the cave and doesn't care to go first if thats what the party wants.

Not trying to push you one way or another, but I agree with Burl > a short rest will regain you some much needed hp and the spellcasters still have their cantrips which they can cast at will indefinitely.

I know Belkregos is ready to move out and knowing Chris, he would say the same for Kelton.

But whatever you want to do is cool with me.

Then that's four > Baer will just have to be cool with it. ;)
Will work on the next post in a few.

How is the pace so far? Are we moving too fast? Too slow?
Are you understanding the rules? Any questions?
What do you like and what do you want to change?

There are a couple of ways to highlight text; one way is to do as Belkregos suggested. Another is to type the text, highlight it with your cursor, and then click on whatever tab you wish to use. Both ways work the same.

Thanks for the replies, fellers > feels good to know you guys are having a good time as well. The posting rate will likely decline for me once I start back to work on the 18th and then school starts on the 24th...but I should be able to post some in the early mornings and late evenings, and, of course, on the weekends.

So...for entering the hideout, I have the following marching order suggested by Baer:

Stiches
Kelton
Ioriston
Baer
Aslaan

Does that work for everyone?

Same here with the schedule. I teach physics.

The marching order is fine by me!

There may be snarling wolves in the cave, but all I hear are crickets in this game...anybody out there?
