Re: Chat & questions
What is the campaign number so we can link character sheets here?
Also, your post about starting equipment was confusing. Are we allowed to spend he starting coin on supplies?

Re: Chat & questions
Just post your character in the character section. Nothing fancy needed.Rusty Tincanne wrote:What is the campaign number so we can link character sheets here?

Yes, you can buy equipment at the Keep.

Re: Chat & questions
Players:
1) LtTibbles
2) ybn1197
3) Mister-Kent
4) Darkmane
5) Rusty Tincanne
6) smoke warrior
7) jdluna
8) idiot (waiting)
A starting party of 14 should be good. "Idiot" is on the wait list.

Re: Chat & questions
Just to be sure, do thieves and fighters get experience bonuses if their stats are high enough? I haven't found that they do, but I a reading the rules on an incredibly small screen.

Yes, but so far all characters have "no class".Rusty Tincanne wrote:Just to be sure, do thieves and fighters get experience bonuses if their stats are high enough? I haven't found that they do, but I a reading the rules on an incredibly small screen.

Re: Chat & questions
I give bonus XP for role play, clever plans, brave actions, rescued prisoners, accomplished goals( that's where character background & motivation comes in).....along with recovered treasure & defeated monsters.

Re: Chat & questions
Will Anne and Gustav start with anything other than the standard clothing, small sack, 3 days food, waterskin and a small knife (d3 damage)?

Re: Chat & questions
So I would like to equip the Wilward brothers a little, but I don't know their classes. How do we go about choosing armor, weapons etc?

Re: Chat & questions
We are 0-level characters, so we don't have classes.
My understanding (read "what I did and didn't get told I was wrong yet") is you just use your starting coin to purchase items in the Keep. So whatever is in the rule book is fair game.

Yes, correct.
Re: Chat & questions
Let me rephrase that. Will the choices we make affect the outcome of our class designation? For example, if I equip a character with a short sword, will if affect the character becoming a cleric later. Armor on a potential mage, etc...

Not really. The final choice will be yours. If you fight with a sword as a 0 level, but decide to study magic and become a Mage, it's fine.
If you decide to worship a god and become a Cleric, you just adhere to the rules of a priest.
No hard & fast rules, just fun. We will work on it.
To become a Mage you will have to get your hands on a scroll, spellbook, or get someone to teach you.
Re: Chat & questions
i haven't noticed any mention of alignment yet. is that something we shouldn't decide on until the characters reach level 1?
also, for characters with high enough INT scores to know several languages, is there a list of languages you want to use that we should pick languages from, or should we not decide that until later?

You can choose an alignment, but we are just doing the basics L,N,C.
Languages- just pick 1 extra language for now. The rest you can choose later.

Re: Chat & questions
FYI: I am leaving town (and won't have access to the internet) from July 11-July 23.
Hopefully that won't get in the way of the game starting.
