Introductions
I've had quite a few experiences with role playing games. The kind of games I've participated in are GURPS, and D&D. I am currently playing the games listed above in real life. I am participating in about 5 D&D sessions and 1 GURPS session. I have played in 1,2,3,5 edition, my knowledge is limited, because I never read through the books. But I have learned bits and pieces and I have a basic grasp of it. I was first introduced to these games by my brother, who refers to himself as Rukellian on this site.

Hail and well met, Genius swordsman0351!
So you're Ruk's brother, eh? Hmm... well welcome aboard and glad to have you anyways! (j/k)
(btw, we need to approve one more of your posts before you can post normally on the boards. Anti-spammer measures and all that, you understand!

Re: Introductions
First off, I just want to thank you all for allowing me to join your community. I am aware of the requisites, due to regulations. I'm glad I can be on this site doing what I love......Role Playing
I have not been given many opportunities for these sort of games, that I truly enjoy playing. So I hope to gain from this site many fruitful experiences to come, and a better grasp of role playing. As I am aware that a lot of people on this site are older, and more experienced and are willing to help, so I look forward to joining many interesting games.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Re: Introductions
Yes I would believe that I am the youngest. I am still in high school, but I don't feel too bad, because I know am currently in a campaign called GURPS as I mentioned before. The group of people I play with are myself, Rukellian, and some of our friends who are in their 20's to 40's.
And when I role play, I am capable of immersing myself into a character, so I don't act like I do outside of the game. Of course I use knowledge from the real world, but I typically change into a slightly more mature figure for my age. That's what some people have mentioned, including my GURPS friends. So you don't have to worry about me acting to stupid.

There's a 9-year old on the board, technically. But I read the game threads to him and type in his responses to shield him from negative influences...like OGRE MAGE and Zorroroaster.

Re: Introductions
Well sorry for the misunderstanding. I haven't been around long enough to learn how you guys/gals think. I know some people think like that and I'm sure there are those who don't as well.

Re: Introductions
No misunderstanding, GS! Big Al was merely stating a point of order is all.
And whilst I'm in clarification mode: just so you & your (big?) brother don't misunderstand... my post above regarding your relation to Rukellian was intended as nothing more than a joke, albeit lame or perhaps even cheap in nature!
Ftr (for the record), Ruk is definitely good people and well liked around here. Do hope you enjoy the site and feel welcome. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or need anything at all, most folks here are great people and will be happy to help if'n they can!
Best,
Mitch

(That is meant as a hopefully humorous comment too by the way, I'm not as bad as AleBelly makes me out to be, haha!)
Again, welcome! I think you will like it here.

Here is my offical welcome to the Unseen Servant forums.
I understand that diving into a site like this can be a bit overwhelming at first, a lot of the terminology being slung around is probably very new to you. If you don't know what someone is talking about, feel free to ask. A lot of the members here are more than willing to explain what certain abbreviations and acronyms mean, and even go so far as to teach you the game system if you are interested in joining such a game. This site has resources and chances are I might have a pdf on something as well.
Glad to have you on board lil' bro and I look forward to working with you on your SAO Gurps campaign.

Apologies, GS. That was a pretty flat statement; I was short on time and late for a meeting, thus it went without flair or theatrics to indicate my joking nature.
I don't at all know you, so I couldn't rightly make any reference to your intelligence or how you act. I was referring to the fact that I know a great many people who are 30+ years old and act incredibly stupid sometimes. Even me. No, no, it's true.
I also know quite a few young people (to me, that's 25 and younger - it's all relative anymore) who continually amaze me with how grown up they are and the amazing things they do with their life.
So I don't ever judge anyone by their age. Our only real concern with age on the forums is appropriateness of colourful language and such. I don't think there are any such worries in your case. You're in high school; you probably know just as many fun words as I do. More, even, as I have a four year old, so mine has been tamed down to "poop" and "toot" for much of the time over the last two years.
