"No need to find me," booms a familiar voice. Turning your gaze to the main entrance to town, you see Matkinsai approach the group, a wrapped tome under his one arm, and the orb cradled in the other. "The preparations are complete and we can begin the destruction ritual. You have the dagger, correct?" He eyes the group and just smiles at the wide-eyed and quite slack jawed Laywin. The young man gathers himself and says with quite the confused tone:

"The town librarian? W-what... You all know him?" He asks as he scratches his head in confusion. His questions are ignored though as Matkinsai starts to head towards the center of town.

"The ley lines of this dimension correspond with the layout of the town, quite ingenious really. Fracturing the orb will be enough, we just need to do it in the exact center... I hope you all have grabbed what you wanted, this is a one-way ticket out." Townsfolk of all sorts start to exit their houses and look at the librarian with great curiosity, some murmuring to themselves about what was said.

Flynn looks around for Amberlynn.
"Only one thing I wish from this cursed place. I hope we're doing right."

Rand simply gives his guild master a nod, following along with him towards the town center. He keeps half his attention on Deceidon, making sure to make a note as to where the dagger is as best he can.

Whitsell makes sure his purse strings are tight, his gear attached, and his weapon is ready.
Then, he waits...

Deceidon arrives at the center with the others. "What now?" he asks Matkinsai.

This sequence will take place after everyone has finished their business in town, whatever it is they wanted to do before leaving this place for good.

-----

"If you are all ready, we can begin at once." Matkinsai, upon leading the group and some curious townsfolk to the center of town, firmly places the orb upon an indentation in the ground. "Before I left Fenrin and made my escape, I made sure to study the intricacies of the artifact, learning of its functions and how it operated. I wanted to be sure I was doing the right thing." He pauses for a moment, after mounting the orb to the ground, and takes a couple steps back. He looks up to those immediately around him and nods his head, continuing where he left off.

"The Fabricator of Planes operated based on the use of two identical orbs, a door way that opens both ways. You needed a key though to make use of the door, magical words spoken. Fenrin, having his own dark agenda, probably withheld this information from you all. Fortunately, I know the words. But merely speaking the words will only open the door, not close it forever like we should."

"I personally do not know how far Fenrin has advanced in his plans since we've last seen him, more so for me than you all. But one thing I do know is this, everyone who has been transported here by magical means, without saying the words, will find themselves back to where they were in the real world. Time will have passed, but it will be the same spot. Try to remember where you all were, what you all were doing, and know that you will be free of this prison forever."

With that said, Matkinsai nods towards Deceidon, letting him know silently that he may begin.

Deceidon puts his hands above the orb. He spits on it then intones:

"De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine:
Domine, exaudi vocem meam:
Fiant aures tuae intendentes,
in vocem deprecationis meae.
Si iniquitates observaveris, Domine:
Domine, quis sustinebit?
Quia apud te propitiatio est:
et propter legem tuam sustinui te, Domine.
Sustinuit anima mea in verbo eius:
speravit anima mea in Domino.
A custodia matutina usque ad noctem:
speret Israel in Domino.
Quia apud Dominum misericordia:
et copiosa apud eum redemptio.
Et ipse redimet Israel,
ex omnibus iniquitatibus eius.
Gloria Patri, et Filio,
et Spiritui Sancto.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula saeculorum. "

Flynn gives Whitsell a sideways glance. Surprised Deceidon would know such words much less remember so many.
"What in all the hells?" he whispers to Amber, pulling her closer.

Rand thinks of the last place he was, his face paling slightly in remembering that it was not the most hospitable location to be in... Hopefully the will all be dead or gone when he returns... He waits for the ritual to complete.

Elethil raises one eyebrow at Deceidon's recitation and draws his sword, hoping he won't need it when he ends up wherever he ends up.

Before I move on to the final chapter of this particular game session, does anyone need to do anything else while they are here? This is the last call for such activities.
