(CLOSED) OOC
Re: OOC
Hey all,
Thanks for trying to assist GreyWolf. I don't get too excited about the rolls. Sometimes I ask for them, sometimes I roll them myself based on info from your CS, and sometimes I just give it to you based on the circumstances. In some circumstances just "Taking 10" instead of rolling makes more sense, as the action in those particular cases should/most likely would succeed. So I just give it to you. But I'm not apposed to you rolling either. By all means, roll to your heart's content. And when you do, I will take it into account. Just keep in mind if you do roll and its bad, I may be inclined to use the bad roll.
Try to think of each situation in terms of your character's abilities. Ask yourself if there is any chance of succeeding (based on race, class, background, and circumstances). If there is a chance, does it seem fairly easy (in which case you most likely won't have to roll), or does it seem like there is a possibility for something to go wrong (in which case you most likely will need to roll).
One aspect of rolling the dice I like is that unknown fact, the 1 in 100 chance, where something just goes wrong. Those times make the game fun and interesting for me. But I also don;t want to reduce the game to dice rolls either. I want players to experiment and fun with their characters. Many times, if you try something exciting, fun, or unique (within the realistic fantasy bounds of your character and the situation) I will most likely just give it to you.
I would like to apologize up front if I forget some basic fact about your character and don't take it into account when adjudicating combat or actions. I have a lot to juggle and sometimes i forget. Just yell at me and I will promptly fix it.
Hope that makes sense and sorry for the monologue.

Re: OOC
some other things may apply here too like strength and dex if both mine are higher than Zirus wouldn't that be less of a chance for him to get loose?

Re: OOC
Yup. With the opposed grapple rolls, strength and dex both get factored in. Zirus has no bonuses in either. : )

Re: OOC

Funny, Seeker... you don't exactly *smell* human...
Of course, you never know - Zirus may decide just that Seeker has some sort of mixed blood. I expect that if someone is only half human that this might not set off his human flesh desire... Also, I kind of get the idea that your race is pretty rare. Zirus may not know of them and therefore honestly consider Seeker to be "human-ish."
But otherwise, I am assuming that any human Zirus met prior to Eddistone Point he is already used to and able to avoid devouring. Anyone after that, well, what can I say? Probably smells pretty appetizing.
Bloated Goddess, Seeker? Hm, well, she may just be... hmmmm.... ; )

Wow... there is litterally nothing out there for Kenders, people really don't like playing as them apparently...stephberg wrote:Hi all,

Hence the picture I gave you.
Apparently dragonlance was made into some kind of show? Not sure, I just read the books.
