You never knew the little Drow could run so fast. As quickly as he was gone, he has returned, cape flying and fists pumping.
A medium distance behind him, are two of the yellowish brutes, with homemade clubs in hand, trying their best to catch up with him.

(Within one round, Daemon Bliss will have caught up with Channas and Sus-pool, then two more rounds and the Ogres)
(Roll for initiative and state your actions, you will have two rounds of actions for Channas and Sus-pool, one round for Daemon Bliss)

Noticing the two ogres behind Daemon, and judging that they must be alone… for now.
“As good as time as any to get in an actual fight, come on Channas, according to the little yellow boxes there is only two of them… for now.”

Sus draws his short bow, locks on and fires at the Ogre to the left.
” Zippty do dah, zippty-ay, I’m gonna blow all you dirtbags away. Plenty of arrows I’m gonna spray, Zippty do dah, zippty-ay”
Short bow: To hit: [1d20] = 19 To damage [1d6] = 6
Short bow: To hit: [1d20] = 2 To damage [1d6] = 4

The following round he puts away the bow and draws both blades, Fainting left around the ogre he attacks with chaotic glee…
"S’matter Buddy? You look a little – what’s the word I’m looking for here – Stupid."
He says to the Ogre in Ogre as he expertly carves out a piece of flesh.
For the DM: [1d100] = 76[1d20] = 12[1d10] = 1[1d8] = 8[1d6] = 5[1d4] = 3

Katana +1: Hit: [1d20+7] = 10+7 = 17 Damage: Small/Medium [1d10+12] = 10+12 = 22 Large [1d12+12] = 4+12 = 16
Katana +1: Hit: [1d20+7] = 13+7 = 20 Damage: Small/Medium [1d10+12] = 8+12 = 20 Large [1d12+12] = 4+12 = 16
Katana +1: Hit: [1d20+7] = 10+7 = 17 Damage: Small/Medium [1d10+12] = 6+12 = 18 Large [1d12+12] = 1+12 = 13

Sus gets 3 attacks every 2 rounds, not sure how you judge that rule Chris, but can he can take 3 attacks in the first round and 2 in the next? If not, just use the first 2 rolls and please let me use the other one in the next round as it seems to be a hit.

Whilst he admires Sus's first shot, cringes at the second shot, and regrets his singing abilities, Channas lets loose a sling bullet at the ogre to the right.

initiative [1d20] = 7 sling bullet v S/M [1d4+1] = 2+1 = 3 v L [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7

Oh. Forgot to roll to hit. THACO 18: [1d20] = 9. Adj. -2 for darkness? Oh well, it would have been a good hit.

Channas grabs the hunks of iron that he calls Mace One and Mace Two and attacks whichever ogre may be charging at him. He says a quick prayer, in case his god happens to be paying attention.

Mace One: initiative: [1d20] = 16 to hit: THACO 14 (12 v mail) [1d20] = 3 dmg: v S/M [1d6+8] = 1+8 = 9 v L [1d8+7] = 3+7 = 10. Shit.

Mace Two: to hit: THACO 14 (12 v mail) [1d20] = 15 dmg: v S/M [1d6+8] = 5+8 = 13 v L [1d8+7] = 6+7 = 13. That's luckier.

Daemon Bliss, stops, pivots and begins to cast his spell. With a few quick hand gestures, and some muttered incantations, Daemon appears to be crushing something in one if his hands.
Before one of the Ogres can take another step, an utter blackness springs up and spreads all around them.
Channas curses, as his arm releases at the exact moment after the magical darkness comes into being. The bullet from his sling, swallowed soundlessly, lost into the night, and the unnatural Darkness.

Wasting no time, Daemon Bliss turns quickly to his right, and runs with surprising speed towards the Northern mountain wall, vanishing from site.

Twang, and a whoosh!!!!! A flight arrow speeds it way towards its monstrous target, finally disappearing into the darkness, followed by a wet thunk.

Pulling the bow string again is drawn to the cheek of Sus, and with a quick release, the near by birch shudders with fear, missing badly with what should have been an easy shot.

Thundering through the darkness the Ogres come, charging with rage in their coal black eyes, both raise their tree trunk clubs, and both swing downwards towards the chests of Sus and Channas. Sus, takes a quick step back, and the Ogre misses by a wide margin, a blow that would have connected with his chest. Channas on the other hand was not as quick, which is unusual for this dexterous Priest, and the wooden club connects solidly with his chest, smashing him to the ground.
The Ogre glares wickedly, even with an arrow solidly in his chest.

New Round.

Roll for initiative.
Daemon Bliss, you are 30 feet behind the Ogre's, they did not see you.
Sus and Channas are almost toe to toe with the Ogres. The Ogres have a ten foot reach, so there is ten feet between you and the Ogres. Channas is actually on the ground, smashed from the previous Ogre blow, and he is clearly injured.

You need to be careful, Channas and Sus, closing with the Ogres will allow them a free attack because of their reach. Standing up, Channas, will allow the Ogres a free attack. The Ogre in front of Channas is wounded from Sus's arrow attack in the creatures chest.

Random Task is still getting his nerve together in the distance.

Initiative Roll: [1d20] = 8
with dex adjustment(-4) = 4

Daemon Bliss' action:
Move as quickly and silently behind one of the ogre and attempts a backstab

THAC0 = 19
3 attack per 2 rounds for short sword,
1 attack/round for dagger

with short sword (backstab):
to hit [1d20] = 19 +1 adj
total=20
* critical hit (combat & tactic, natural score of 18 and higher) *

damage against large creature:
criticial hit, damage [2d8] = 10 +2 adj
total = 12

with dagger (do I get to attack with both weapons if backstab?):
to hit [1d20] = 11 +1 adj
total = 12

damage, large creature:
to damage [1d3] = 1
total = 1

You get to attack with both weapons, but only one weapon will cause the additional backstab damaged.

I will roll a move silently check on your behalf.......
But the odds are in your favour.

As Daemon Bliss speed towards the Northern mountain wall, vanishing from site Sus lets out a low whistle seemingly ignoring the huge enraged Ogre now bearing down on him.
“Don’t he hide pretty now?”Sus asked to the Ogre… in dwarf.

Sus admires his arrow protruding from the chest of the huge Ogre, as he takes his practiced quick back step and watches the Ogre club go by… “Funny that eh Bob?”He says to the Ogre, “I thought I shot two at you, well, the other must have gone clean through you… ya, that’s it. Well, may as well do this the easy way.” Sus says as he draws his swords and with a chaotically gleeful glare moves in on the Ogre now named Bob.

Sus movesto attack the Ogre in front of Channas and offering him a chance to stand without being hit while prone.

For the DM: [1d100] = 99[1d20] = 9[1d10] = 6[1d8] = 7[1d6] = 3[1d4] = 2
Using the first two katana attack rolls previously rolled. 2 attacks this round

I see that I have chosen a suitable deity for this plane! Channas shouts lustily in Orcish.

Channas leaps (or rolls, or struggles feebly) back to his feet. He blocks if he must, and counterattacks if he can.

Off in the Distance, Random Task fiddles with the bridal of his horse, listening to the scary sounds of battle. Sweat beading on his
his forehead. Sus is quite strong, Random thinks to himself, and really does not need any help……….

Springing to his feet, cloak whirling around him, Daemon Bliss advances quickly and quietly towards Sus, Channas, and
the backs of the Ogre's. The ground is difficult terrain, but still, with unbelieved agility, crosses the ground (Passing a Balance check)
and is suddenly behind both monstrous beasts!!!!

At the exact moment that Daemon Bliss arrives on the scene, Sus takes a brave step forward, straddling the prone form of Channas!!!!
(Sus passed a balance check, otherwise he would have stumbled)
Dropping his bow to the ground, and drawing his strange right blade, Sus stabs forward and into the Ogre on his left, nearly severing
the right arm. Another quick motion, and the left unidentifiable blade is out of its scabbard. Sus slashes and takes the left arm clean off.
The Ogre, too stupid to realize, falls backward dead.

As the Ogre on the Left falls, Daemon Bliss thrusts his short sword into the back of the right. With a heavily straining face, Daemon pushes
the short sword as deep as it will go. Sus, unaware that Daemon was now behind the Ogres, watches with fascination as a short bladed
weapon, slowly emerges from the Arrow pierced Ogre.
The massive beast, falls forward, towards Sus, who barely manages to dodge away. Channas rolling to his knees just as the giant form
almost collides with him as well, stands breathing heavily.

All three of you, now standing, without adversaries close by, exchange knowing and untrustworthy looks. None of you sheath your
weapons, and none of you take your eyes from each other.

“Da-dat-da…. Ta-dah-dah-dent-ta-dah!”Sus sings as he twirls one sword above his head in some animated gesture of victory to the Clouds of Strife, and then in one fluid motion sheathes it.

Stooping to pick up his dropped short-bow from the ground with ease, he gazes towards the Giant battling valiantly at the end of the valleys mouth.
“Seems like he has everything in his very capable and large hands… shall we be off gentlemen?” Sus finishes in what he thinks is a haughty high-born courtly tone spoiled somewhat by his rough voice.

“But first…”Sus gestures towards the Ogre on his right as he moves to quickly check the Ogre on his left.
“Do you require help Channas? Can you run under your own steam?” He finishes as if the term `steam’ is perfectly understandable, yet not stopping in his quick search of the Ogre.

Assuming there is time, Sus will search the body, if the horde is breaking through... lets be off.

For the DM: [1d100] = 24[1d20] = 17[1d10] = 10[1d8] = 2[1d6] = 5[1d4] = 2

ooh, this must be those dramatic moment, the stare down between three paramount heroes ... say something cool, say something cool ... "Ahem, he fell reeeal good." D'OH!!

"Agreed my large, muscle-bound compatriot, let's be off, as the drunk priests said earlier, 'tis a nice night for a run."

Daemon Bliss does a quick selfie with the dead ogre he killed then heads toward the valley ...
looking at Channas with a look of concern (for his own safety, not Channas') he asked, "You can run, priest?"

then another thought hits him, if the ogre horde ever breaks thru ... they'll go for the lame first,
"Nevermind, priest, you'll be fine." He smiles ^^

------------

so, yeah, Chris ... is Channas injured? can he run?

Having just witnessed two very large ogres being dispatched with relative ease by you my sudden companions, and being forced to appreciate the apparent dangers of this world, and, finally, revealing a perhaps liturgical fondness for participial phrasing, I find myself inclined to sojourn with you both (though I have yet to get a good look at either of you), if you will have me. I believe that I can run; hot air is no impediment. Didn't your friend and his mount race yonder? Let us then seek them out.

Ah, here's my flask!

Above the noise of the heavy swings of the giant by the mouth of the pass, a new sound emerges!!!!
Two more Ogres break through the Giant's line of defence. Howling with defiance, they charge across
the broken land scape, kicking up snow, and plowing threw brush. Weilding similar tree stumps as
the two fallen Ogres before them.

initiative roll:
[1d20] = 3

Daemon Bliss heads toward the nearest side wall and runs toward the valley, hoping the shadows help obscure his presence

He looks back to see if any ogres breaks through and also checked up on Channas and Sus to see if they're keeping up

Sus looks and sighs at the approaching Ogres before turning to the cleric,
“Boring conversation anyway. Luke, we’re gonna have company!”
And then sprints off.
