my fault, i thought we were near the beginning of the stream, so the gold question can be ignored ...wwas just trying to add some color to the picture, ill try to control myself :ugeek:
the only thing i know (as a player) about panning for gold, is what we see on tv, so...
stonjuz will add something like
...."Wait, this isnt right, it must be waaaaaayyy over that direction....so yall are right...once again, good thing you boys were about." and will go along with any consensus.

that kinda brings me to another idea....is there a partial map, you could post for ,past and present, visible terrain? even hand drawn would be helpful , dunno

In any case great roleplaying so far.

A map would be useful to me too, just to make sure we're not making wrong assumptions about what we can see in the area.

Apologies, but the module does not have a player's map. The wilderness map has numbers and notations on it indicating places, encounters and events so making it available would be, effectively, metagaming. And I can't draw a map of the immediate area because I have no scanner and therefore no way to upload it.

I think I understand where the adventure has put us , for now. How far south past the ice bridge can we see and what stops the view( a drop off, or a mountain, or?)

Earlier Vargr told us that the way south leads directly to the next cliffs. I haven't specifically asked about the other margin as Ogirdor was focusing on identifying the straightest, shortest path.

No solo play occurring, if that happens there will be a general announcement. Just busy and family matters.

Let the games continue: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=712&p=16098#p16098

In my latest post about the ice bridge did I get that right Varg? This side has the stream and mist. Either way Oz wants to keep going down this side.

Also I found the dialog button. Sorry that took so long.

It might a stream or just part of the lake's morphology. It can't be discerned from said from this distance and the mists there don't really help either.

"Dialogue Button"? What Dialogue button? Ahh, I didn't even know we had one of those here. I have been changing the font color manually in the games I am playing. I think it is better when every character adopts his own color/font/bold. Makes it easy to tell who is saying what in the boards.

i may have taken some liberties with the dimensions of the bridge, but the idea of stonjuz accidentally coming upon the measurement of pi during his 'studies' was too funny to resist....

Maybe we should define the way OOC before posting our actions - and I'm to blame here as it seems I jumped the gun upon Vargr's last update of the action thread.

Not sure how its going to play out, but it's possible Andrin will be standing in the same spot that Sir Clarence left him. lol

For any future reference, Stonjuz has total neutrality on which way the group goes or should go. If it were up to him, he may flip a coin. He will be sure and follow either way. He could jump to follow anyone who shows signs of leadership or could just as easily join a group in desent. He seldom will care unless balance is in fear of being upset. (personal survival mode would kick in eventually however)

Currently he would like to ....get off the mountain safely, restock the fish, test for gold, rest, cast spells to heal the wounded, etc... but not necessarily in any order... but will never make ultimatums as its a sign of zealotry (opposite of neutral). The grumpy old dwarf will probably bellow on about any course of action, but that is not to say that I, as a player, want to cause the party to suffer, slow down nor change their stated actions. (maybe he just needs a SNICKERS)
So to vargr I must say, waiting on Stonjuz to determine group action may be a bit futile.

Hope my comments (and the dwarf's ramblings) are not the cause of any party problems.

Please continue with the ramblings, I am enjoying your characterization of the dwarf.

At the moment Ogirdor is only concerned with taking the group out of the mountain or to a position where the party can understand what happened to them and where they are. If the group wants to explore the mountain he will stick with them and try to decrease the risks as much as he can - though he will probably continue to moan about it. ;)

Good point, but I prefer to avoid amending posts after the other players have posted something. A bit like real life, isn't it? :P

You are not the only one. Players that want to choose their languages can do so now. Remember to check OSRIC for Demihuman

Apparently most players didn't. You can do it now. Remember to check OSRIC for Demihuman language lists and limitations if you're playing one.

The worse thing is I actually recall going through the language options but I must have misplaced any notes I've taken on those...

Does my racial heritage grant any starting language other than Common?
