If you want the truth, we have NO idea what he is.
That's why I thought he would be the perfect person for you too meet!

Valorei gives Wendall a confused look, which is becoming a common occurrence between the two, "How can you not know what something is? Alright then, I am interested. Let us meet this unknown entity called Seesil."

Wendall peers around back and forth to the others, chuckling under his breath.

Re: Briarbeard Tavern (Vaul) - II
Dorvar steps in to warn Valorei. Seesil was... a being of great magic. We met him in the woods and he ensorcelled us all. We don't really know what happened to us, but it wasn't very pleasant and an experience I would prefer not to repeat. We don't know if he was man, god or demon. We don't know if he is good, evil or neither. I'm not sure you would be able to learn much, and I'm not sure it would be worth it to try. You may feel differently, but Seesil was far more unpleasant than any of the strange denizens of this untamed land we have encountered thus far.
I would suggest not going out as a small group. We have already seen travelling just a day can lead to encounters with large groups of goblins. I am willing to accompany ye a day's journey out to see what we find, then head back for the festival.

On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Valorei, "Hmm... I guess if you don't believe the encounter to be knowledgeable then I suppose we can choose another location, I would like to at least meet this Seesil sometime though, the fact that he may be an unknown entity is interesting in it's own way, but I would not subject those unwilling to it just to appease my own curiosity." He pats Dorvar on the shoulder, giving him a smile, "Perhaps if we were to venture in that direction I can simply make the trek there alone, or accompanied by you all, should it be on the way."
So then, scout out a bit northwest? make it back to the festival?

You all know what lies to the northwest--the famed and forbidding and never-yet-conquered (except while undefended) Tower of Wendall.

Wendall
We will head due west on the morning of the 27th. If we see the arch, Val can go introduce himself. If we don't see it, maybe we will find something else.
We stay out for a couple days, then head back before the festival. Cool?

"I need to be back on the 30th to see if anyone accepts my drinking challenge" says Varas seriously. "If all of you need to stay out another day, that's fine, but I will make sure I'm at Vaul by that day. I'll depart on my own if necessary."

We won't be going too far this time. About one day out, search around for a day, then head back. If there are some of us that don't want to go, that shouldn't be a problem because we aren't going very far.
How about a head count then?
Me
Val
Var?
Dor?
Martin?
Big Momma?
Not sure about the always cheerful Harold yet?

Valorei gives Varas a serious look, "I was planning on being back by then too, or else how would I challenge you in this drinking contest?!"

"Sure. Let's go" says Varas.

I'll hold off until I hear from mister-kent about his participation and then get things under way!

Olympia claps her hands together. "Let's go!"
Re: Briarbeard Tavern (Vaul) - II
Harold might as well go too.

So...is Wendall somehow the one in charge of this expedition since Martin abdicated control of it?

Sounds good to Varas. He'll be distracted by booze and the expected arrival of his new horsey.

I'm sure it'll be one of those "he's in charge but everyone basically molds his thoughts to doing what they want anyway" kind of deal.

(Okay, everyone: when Wendall goes to the bathroom, we all decide who's really in charge.)
