Re: OOC Chat
Just realized Olympia's chapel breaks ground on the 23rd, which is my real birthday, so I'll count it as a very late 30th birthday present (or an early 31st bday present!)

Today on The Arch-Duchy of Vaul, first-time homeowner The Wendall learns how expensive maintenance and upkeep costs can be.
Re: OOC Chat
Giant Tentacled Monster Infestation in the basement is an especially expensive problem to remedy.

Also, this is classic.Zhym wrote:"What do you say, Landlord The Wendall?" says Harold with a grin. "Are you ready to promote yourself from the rank of Adventurer to the title Hirer of Adventurers?"
Re: OOC Chat
If he thinks that's bad, wait until he tries to get a plumber at 3:00 AM that far from town.
Re: OOC Chat
I thought he might go for that, too. The Wendall seems like the kind of dude who might like to strut around paying adventurers to do stuff for him.

On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Re: OOC Chat
Does this also apply to scroll creation or does that fall under the "Magic Item Creation" rules in the LL book?Keehnelf wrote:Copying a spell costs 75gp in materials to craft appropriate ink per spell level. There's no roll needed, the materials are easy to come by, and any MU or elf can do it. It just costs.

Scrolls are slightly less expensive--only 50gp per spell level.
Re: OOC Chat
Sorry, I didn't mean coping from a scroll to the spell book. I meant creating a scroll from a spell you already know.Keehnelf wrote:Scrolls are slightly less expensive--only 50gp per spell level.

Yes, creating a spell scroll takes one day per level, plus 50gp in supplies to create per level.

^^ And if you can't agree on who wants what, you could just "gift" it to survivors of other expeditions

Thank you. Its very kind of you to say so. We had some tight moments, but surprisingly we all made it back.AleBelly wrote:Quite a haul, Bertram and crew. Well done!
Re: OOC Chat
I agree wholeheartedly. It was a ballsy move going into the chasm (twice!), especially after you already knew there were enemies afoot. That was like 5k worth of experience just from the effort.
