"I've paid for the establishment of a chapel in town, dedicated to Fortis. Now to think of it, that Arch-duke's 1000 gold-piece reward for the removal of the goblin threat would do well to further all of our respective projects! The cretins live northward--unless you think sticking to exploration would be a more lucrative endeavor than combat!"
Re: Briarbeard Tavern (Vaul) - II
Varcand clears his throat loudly, still standing at the bar. This leads into a fit of coughing.
"Please, something to drink," he manages to get out, between coughs.
He fishes out a silver piece from his pouch and slaps it onto the bar.

OGRE MAGE can be a bit oblivious on occasion (rare occasion). since the recent changes to the tavern, Varcand should be able to speak to him directly (if he wants to have a convo, that is).
Re: Briarbeard Tavern (Vaul) - II
If I wanted to conduct business with him, how would we arrange that? (given the time discrepancy)
Re: Briarbeard Tavern (Vaul) - II
Encourage him to stick around until you're available, or arrange for you to meet up on a specific date.

I think you're confusing oblivious with stupidity.Keehnelf wrote:OGRE MAGE can be a bit oblivious on occasion (rare occasion). since the recent changes to the tavern, Varcand should be able to speak to him directly (if he wants to have a convo, that is).

Every time I think I've got something figured out........
The Wendall would be happy to conduct some business with the newcomer Varcand.
Re: Briarbeard Tavern (Vaul) - II
By the way, this would be a good place to ask: is someone spreading rumors about The Wendall? I know I haven't been, but people seem to be acting oddly around him recently.

That sounds adventurous! Either would be fine with me! When do we leave? Oh wait, let's not forget that we still have that Mr. M thing to take care of.

What kind of rumors?

I can barely get my own party members to talk to me lately.

It is about time for the next mission. So what'll it be?

Varas sneers at the mention of goblins. "I think the dwarves are on to something. Wretched creatures, goblins. If there's gold in it, let's slay some more. North it is!"Mister-Kent wrote:"I've paid for the establishment of a chapel in town, dedicated to Fortis. As he thinks about killing goblins, another thought pops into his head.
"What did the duke want with you, Wendall?"

Varcand approaches the table of adventurers.
"I understand one of you is the Wendall. I saw your advertisement in the town center, and wish to discuss arcane business."

Wow! You must be a good wizard if you can travel back in time like that.psionboy wrote:Varcand approaches the table of adventurers.

Hint: leave a message with the barkeep.......he knows me.

No, I was teasing him about being a noble since he now owns a tower. Plus, The Wendall is strange himself.Keehnelf wrote:By the way, this would be a good place to ask: is someone spreading rumors about The Wendall? I know I haven't been, but people seem to be acting oddly around him recently.

Maybe it's like Time Cop and touching each other makes you explode??psionboy wrote:We're allowed to chat, just not interact physically, so as to preserve the space-time continuum. Or something.
Olympia cheerily prepares for the group's next excursion. "These goblins are no match for the likes of us," she says confidently to all who hear.

Apparently they want to make an announcement or some such nonsense about the tower. No big deal I think but, I guess we should be back for the festival at least. You know, to make an appearance or whatever.AleBelly wrote:Varas sneers at the mention of goblins. "I think the dwarves are on to something. Wretched creatures, goblins. Do you guys mind if we go back and get that thing out of the tower before we go anywhere else? Knowing that gross thing is in there has really been "bugging" me lately. Wendall says with a creepy grin, trying to sound humorous.

Ok, so, we can talk to each other as though we were both there but not actually make any transactions or such? This is really blowing my mind man!psionboy wrote:Didn't you get the message about the cross-time tavern? viewtopic.php?f=163&t=3355&start=320#p144864
