OOC IX
Re: OOC IX
Do we want to just continue with where we stopped and check out other buildings later?
Dragon foot. Bamboo pole. Little mouse. Tiny boy.
Re: OOC IX
Well, Severi is kind of driven to wipe out those things specifically, because he wants them all dead.
If we want to continue exploring the city after that for a few days or a week, I think we have enough rations to do it.

Back after a busy weekend at a local con. Fun! Catching up at work today, hence the late post. Onward!

I've removed the 7 "saddlebags" oil flasks: 3 to Bruno, 3 to Quint, and 1 goes into Tev's backpack to join the 3 he already had there.

Re: OOC IX
You can give those three oil to someone else if needed, Al. Quint had 2 in his pack already, and added 4 more from his own saddlebag stock.Atlictoatl wrote:I've removed the 7 "saddlebags" oil flasks: 3 to Bruno, 3 to Quint, and 1 goes into Tev's backpack to join the 3 he already had there.
I will take the three wineskins though, since I forgot to buy those. I'll add them to my character sheet. Thanks.

Okay, thanks.thirdkingdom wrote:It is under building #8 on this map (viewtopic.php?p=98068#p98068) down some stairs, into a network of caves. It's another half-hour through the tunnels (essentially, the tunnels are like really, really long hallways, connecting different "lairs").

Actually, I made a mistake. The lair is actually an hour distant, assuming you guys move at cautious exploration speed.

Re: OOC IX
I'm going to propose this modified marching order:
Thurgan
Tev
Rhys
Severi
Quint*
Semele*
Vanco
Bruno
If we break out into 10' wide corridors, that becomes:
Thurgan | Tev
Rhys | Severi
Quint* | Semele*
Vanco | Bruno
* Quint and Semele hold torches/lanterns
Rhys is close to the front in case we need stealthy scouting
Thurgan
Tev
Rhys
Severi
Quint*

Re: OOC IX

I don't know if any of you guys care about Dwimmermount, but...this dungeon tracker thing is pretty damn cool.

Re: OOC IX
Well that looks cool as hell - I get the impression that it was worth the wait. What's the story with the dungeon tracker?
Re: OOC IX
It's a spiral-bound book with laminated maps and lists of monsters and stuff on the level, so that in a long-term campaign you can keep track of where the PCs have been, what they've done, and what monsters they've interacted with/killed/made allies of. There are specific entries for rooms that have different functions, there's a turn tracker, marching order and movement speed tracker. It's goddamn amazing, but also spoilery to look at the inside.
Like, if you were dead serious about running this campaign, you would want this book.
Basically, when you open it up to whatever page, the oversized left-hand page is a fully annotated map of that level, and the right-hand page is a list of all the stuff on that level you might want to know. Including which factions are allied with or enemies of other factions. It's sort of like having a level-by-level DM screen?
This would be a ridiculous indulgence in a lesser module, but for Dwimmermount it's appropriate.

Re: OOC IX
On another note, I realized that Quint never changed what spells he has memorized after learning the new ones. TK, do you mind if I retcon that and make some changes since we had all that travel time to get back here?
I'm thinking of dropping ESP for Audible Illusion but keeping both Sleeps for use against the Ur-orcs, unless anyone things a Charm Person, Light or Magic Missile would be more useful. Personally, I don't, given what we know is ahead.
Also, in his free time going forward, Quint will begin to study... hmm. Feather Fall, I guess.

Re: OOC IX
That does sound like a super resource for a megadungeon, with so much going on. Any chance of snapping a pic of a spread to see what it looks like?Wyzard wrote:It's a spiral-bound book with laminated maps and lists of monsters and stuff on the level, so that in a long-term campaign you can keep track of where the PCs have been, what they've done, and what monsters they've interacted with/killed/made allies of. Re: OOC IX
I'll try to get a good one later (lamination is shiny!), but I'm going to have to spoiler-block it since, well, it's a spoiler.

Re: OOC IX
I've been wondering about the PDF version. I suppose it's as efficacious printed out, but there's something about the official, laminated product that trumps a home-fashioned one.
Congrats on the gear!
