With the oil coating the floor, it is easy to find the trigger location, but very hard to mark the ground.

Thisby winces. "Unh! I'm okay. I've been poked by worse--but you're right, we could go back up and camp near the entrance, and then try this again."

Anwyn will mark the wall directly beside the trigger "DON'T STEP HERE !!! ---->" (pointing down at the floor of coarse :P )

After working her way back out of the tunnel, Anwyn takes out her spare cloak and begins shredding it into bandages. Then she eats the rest of her rations for the day, rolls out her bed roll, and beds down for the night.

1 days rations deducted.

Since it has not come up before, let me point you to the rules for healing:

viewtopic.php?f=163&t=3348&p=130546#p134069

Note that healing only takes place after a full day of rest, which means if you go out and camp overnight, there will be no healing. You'd have to go out, camp, spend a day resting, sleep again, and overnight you would get some healing.

GTan, should we spend the day resting? I'm up for it if you want. If so, I'll deduct 1 days ration as well.

Mr Kent that sounds good, that fall would have killed Anwyn. 1 more days rations deducted

Is the plan to camp in the stone entryway just outside the doorway, or to find a suitable spot somewhere relatively nearby?

We should move away from this place. If it's a tomb, I don't want anything undead jumping out at us.

March 14, 1 VC - 2:00pm

OK, the pair head back up the still-slippery slope and out of the ruin, looking across the rain-washed countryside for a likely location for their camp.

Just before nightfall, they settle on a spot in the lee of a hill with one steep side for a bit of protection from the rain, at which point Anwyn is able to focus on bandaging up Thisby's shoulder. They set up a small fire and huddle up under their cloaks and hats to share stories and keep warm. Overnight, however, the direction of the wind changes and their small camp is half washed out with the runoff from the slope, forcing them to shift position slightly and hope for better luck on the opposite side of the hill come morning.

Please be sure to have deducted the first day's rations by now.

Once it is light out, with the rain still coming down, the pair move their campfire away from its precarious position and settle in for a long and boring day of rest. In the early afternoon, however, while Thisby sleeps, Anwyn hears a howl from a good distance away and creeps to the edge of the hill to take a covert look.

Random Wilderness Encounter [1d6] = 1

Surprise roll: Monsters: [1d6] = 1, Party: [1d6] = 6

Roughly a hundred yards distant, two wolves are heading across the moor through the light rain directly toward the party's camp. Due to the direction of the wind and the bad visibility, it is clear that they have not spotted the duo yet, but if they continue on their current path they certainly will stumble across Anwyn and her slumbering companion.

Anwyn wakes Thisby and tells her, Wake up. We need to move. Two wolves are heading right for us. Anwyn rolls up her bed roll and draws her sling just in case.

Where are you headed? Although Thisby has her Hide skill, the territory is open enough that Anwyn would have a difficult time making her way somewhere else without potentially being spotted by the wolves.

Not in sight. They are very few and far between out on this moor. You recall spotting one dimly in the twilight of the evening before perhaps a quarter-mile away to the north (the hill with the ruin is about a half mile to the northwest for reference, and the wolves are approaching from the east).

Anwyn walks away from the camp just enough to see the wolves and casts magic missle at the nearest one...
Magic Missle (One Missle):[1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5
...then readys her sling for another shot at the same wolf...

Initiative:[1d6] = 2

OK, surprise round summary:

By the time Anwyn makes her reappearance, the wolves have closed to approximately 200 feet. She shoots her magic missile at the nearest wolf, striking it firmly in the flank. The wolves catch sight of her and give a quick howl, rushing to engage.

Wolf 1: 11 HP (16 - 5 for the missile)
Wolf 2: 12 HP

Action for Thisby and then I will do the first combat round summary!

Thisby wakes to a precarious situation!

Can Thisby use her Hide skill to prepare to get a sneaky shot on the wolves with her sling?

A successful hide would keep you from being targeted by the wolves until you do something to call their attention to you, and a first attack would negate their dexterity bonus to armor class for that strike.
