Okay, updated my ghost sheet to reflect Skin Change, the only things I didn't change was the name of the sheet (wasn't able to) and the backstory. I figured the backstory is still my backstory, I'm just adding onto it now with my character's new chapter in life.

A couple of questions...

I cleared my experience and harm bars to zero, a fresh start. Is this alright?

The skin guide says that someone thinks they can save me  Do you need me to put a name down right now, or figure that one out as we go?

Do you see anything else that needs changing, or did I cover everything?

I will be looking for a new character portrait for Clark Defray, but in the meantime I will stick with my current one.

We can work that backstory out now. It's easier to deal with a String while it's fresh rather than think about it later.

Of course, if nobody wants to save Clarence between Seth and Summer, then we'll have to figure it out.

Seth might think to save Clarence, as he is thinking of saving Vanessa from the Horned Prince.

I don't know if Summer would really care if Clarence stayed unsaved. Summer might be first in line to push Lucinda off the cliff as well, if only Summer weren't tethered to her.

...

I'll review the sheet and rename it when I get home later.

Looks like Seth and Clark are going to be butting heads then

Clark likes his current arrangement with the Horned Prince; and if he gets to keep his life and be closer to Vanessa, all the better! Perhaps, Clark doesn't WANT to be saved!

Edit: You see... if someone really cared enough to want to save me from, well, anything, then I wouldn't be in this situation would I? No one cared that I was a ghost and dead, so I had that going for me. Why should things be any different for Clark Defray? Unless one of his classmates was a secret admirer of his and happens to find out about his dark connections, perhaps only then will I have a name for that string slot. ;)

In all honesty Seth wouldn't go out of his way to save Clark/Clarence.

He's a wolf, and anyone that is not a wolf is either prey or a threat; Neither options get saved.

So everyone knows, Seth's goal is loyalty to the pack and those he cares for, that's it. He may not be a big bad evil guy but he isn't the hero of this story either ;)

Shutting down Lucinda: 2d6-1=7 and she can have the Condition "impractical" and give me a Condition. Also, I advance: +1 Volatile for a total of +2.
Speaking on advancing, has anyone else "advanced" yet? I don't think anyone other than Metal Fatigue has even been keeping score...

Clarence also advanced himself.

Seth is the laggard. ;)

Hmm... So, how does one advance?

I thought by using one of the chosen skills, for me it was Hot and Volatile, and succeeding you marked experience. Is that not how it's done?

Yes, once per scene, you mark experience for using a stat. I think I've been marking it, but I may have missed stuff along the way. You should be close to an advancement by now, but I am on my phone, which doesn't play nice with Google Sheets.

Alright... Just trying to get the rules and everything clarified. Only one mark of experience per scene? Or can a player get a max of two per scene by using both of their skills?

I ask because it seems to me that metal fatigue has advanced twice now, and I'd like to know his dirty secret

I'll have to go back and double check but if we do in fact have the ability to get two marks per scene then I should have advanced and be at 1-2 marks towards second advancement.

I'm generally pulling 3 XP per scene: once by rolling on Cold, once on Dark, and once using the skin move that gives me XP when I get a Condition. Each of those can grant me a max of 1 XP per scene.

Yeah. The Hollow has a move where you mark experience if she gets a Condition. That's what makes certain skins so quick to advance. That's why Summer has gone after Conditions in every scene.

The Mortal has a hilariously co-dependent move that gives XP. I think that's my new favorite Skin.

The Werewolf has the Unstable move, but it's tougher since it involves Darkest Self.

The mortal has two moves that gain XP, jeez...

I'm looking over the werewolf skin again and I guess now Vanessa and I have a spiritual connection until either of us sleeps with someone else?

Yes, Seth is now connected to Vanessa.

If Vanessa were a real player character, there might be Strings involved with the Emissary (Clark's friend), but since Vanessa isn't, there's no Strings involved with that.

Hey Q.Q,

When you get to a computer check out my character sheet, I was going over it today as I was looking at the different skins, trying to plan out future actions and stuff, and found that it may be needing an update or two.

There's the possible XP and advancement update that I commented on earlier today, but I think I should still have 1 harm? plus there's missing strings for Frederick, even though he is dead, and Vanessa and Clarence/Clarke.

I should have around 3-4 strings I think on Vanessa and 1 string on Clarence/Clarke, numbers may vary, I'm working from memory which is never as good as it should be

No biggie on anything, just thought I'd give you a shout out.

The same singleton rule applies to Strings as to XP: you cannot gain more than one String per target per move per scene (so you can't spam Turn Ons on a single target, for instance).

Oh? I thought due to my Primal dominance I get a string every time I harm someone.

If that's not the case then my bad.

That's a good question. I'm not sure how that builds up or not. The 1-ping-only rule makes sense. It kind of makes the move a little weak, though.

I'd hardly say that! Consider that you can get 2 Strings on someone with 1 Lash Out if you hit 10+.

You all haven't used your Strings very much, though. :?

Okay, gone over the Werewolf's sheet & going back through the IC threads.

You should have gotten 1 Advancement in Scene 3, now that I'm going back through the threads. I should call out your XP & Rukellian's as you earn them since Metal Fatigue has his down.

Seth should have 1 XP mark in Scene 4, I think. So you're at 1 box for XP.

Go ahead and pick a Werewolf advancement for Seth!

After this scene, it might be time to declare a new "session" and shake up highlights.
