Okay, so the items are as follows:
1)Ring of Protection +2
2)Ring of Alacrity +1 to initiative rolls and Save v. Wands
3)Ring of Fire Resistance
4)Figurine of Wondrous Power (Argillaceous Shrew)

There's week of downtime: *Quint successfully learns Light on the evening on the day of the 14th*; there's potential for both Severi and Quint to learn a hella lot of spells.
Severi started out studying Analyze. Remember that as a matter of strategy, he studies as long as possible before making his initial learning roll, to minimize the chance of rolling 00 on repeated learning rolls. His next choice is Mirror Image (level 2.)

If Quint will let him study from his collection of books, Severi would like to learn Detect Magic (which I thought he already knew, oops), and ESP.

If he nails all of those and has time, he'll study Ventriloquism.

As to the above: I'd like to see what kind of prices we could get. The Rings of Protection and Fire Resistance are the only ones I'd be hesitant to sell. I'd happily get rid of the ring of alacrity, and the figurine of wondrous power might also serve us better converted into XP.

Yeah, I lot track of spell study. Severi (1d100=42) learns Analyze, let's assume that is at the end of the day on the 15th. Would Severi be spending all 8 hours a day studying, or would 4 be more realistic? Actually, see below.

As to the items, you'll have a hard time finding a buyer in Threshold, though I'll certainly roll for it. The Ring of Alacrity will bring around 2,000 gp, the figurine around 10,000, potentially more if sold to a gnome or dwarf.

I'm going to say there's a 15% non-cumulative chance per day of finding a buyer for the figurine, and a 25% non-cumulative chance of finding a buyer for the ring in Threshold, given the state of the city. Finding a buyer is like raising mercenaries, or finding henchmen. Y'all will have to spend at least four hours a day searching for a buyer. Five days of searching without success means no buyer is available.

Four hours of study per day is fine.

GUys, I think we should sell the FIgurine, probably both of those things really. That's going to level at least a couple of us.

So everyone is good with selling the shrew and the second ring? Anyone want either?

As for the others, Rhys cannot wear the ring of protection. Definitely that should go to the MU.

What about the other ring? Anyone want to dice for it?

I'll pass on both of them. I might try and call dibs on something next time.

If we have time, it might be worthwhile to head to the gnome settlement, both to collect on the debt owed us and to have a better chance of selling the items.

I'm fine with the ring of protection going to Quint, and will similarly pass on the rings of fire resistance and alacrity.

Rhys would be happy to dice for the ring of fire resistance, if anyone else is interested in it. Don't have any problem with selling the other two things. I'd rather have the XP, as well. That would easily push me over the 1k I need for 5th level.

Highforge, the gnome city, is on the road north to Darokin.

It looks like there's a new owner for each of the rings of power and fire resistance. I'm content with selling the two remaining items.

So, I'd like to know the following:
1) Is anyone rejecting the knighthood? If you're accepting, please make a note on your character sheet *and* the PC Badassery thread. If a PC becomes knighted their crest or sigil is now officially recognized by the crown.
2) Are we skipping an IC post of the knighting ceremony?
3) Are you guys going to try and sell *both* magical items here?
4) Do y'all want to accept the Baron's commission after dealing with the ur-orcs?

1. Severi will take it.

2. I'll roll with it if you want to write it.

3. I think we're going to TRY.

4. I'm down with it.

1. Vanco will accept the knighthood (for the good of the church, of course).
2. I'm content to skip the knighting ceremony.
3. Yes, let's try. Obviously, it depends on the price?
4. I'm happy with the ur-orc commission.

1. Tev will accept knighthood.
2. I'm okay with skipping it, if that's your preference.
3. It sounds like the figurine will sell for more on the road north (gnome town), but I'm game for selling it now to get the XP.
4. Baron's commission sounds great.

1. Accepting it.
2. Not necessary.
3. As long as we can get 9k or more for it, selling it in Threshold is fine by me. I'd rather get the XP and level than hold off and worry about a few hundred more XP.
4. Yeah, that sounds fine.

TK, what's the source of your weather table? I'd like to get me one of those.

It's actually mine. I've added the rough draft to my dropbox, here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i8uw4my7x5bxp ... n.pdf?dl=0

XP time:

12500 total XP. There are a total of six PCs, each receiving 4 shares of treasure, plus two henchmen, each receiving one share of treasure, for a total of 28 shares. Bruno and Severi each receive 446 XP, before modifications. Each PC receives 1786 XP, prior to modifications.

Awesome!

Can I get a hit point roll for Rhys' level 5, Mr. DM?

That's fun (congrats, Alethan!). May I also get an HP roll for Tev's 5th level?

For his 5th level skill bump, I'll take Navigation.
