Three characters are currently approved, and I have notes out to two others. I have two more character sheets to review tomorrow, but the game may be able to get started as early as tomorrow (at noon, of course). ;)

Please check your individual OOC threads for the requested updates if you haven't already.

We'll be kicking things off soon!

One last request I'd like to make of all players before we begin:

How does your character appear to everyone else? How tall are they? Do they have any distinctive racial features? Are they wearing armor? Carrying weapons? Any visible equipment on their person?

In a nutshell, how would you describe or introduce your character?

I know many of you have more traditional notes about your characters' appearances, but please take a moment to really consider the entirety of their appearance and either revise what you've already written, or approach the task again with a fresh set of eyes now that you have a fully developed character. Since the character sheets are all completely hidden, your fellow players will want/need to know the very basics of your appearances, and I'd like to take your own words and descriptions into consideration. What do you want to share? Hide?

Feel free to post these new or enhanced descriptions in your private forums, but know that I will likely share or use them (fully, or in part) publicly when making introductions.

Thanks.
- Dave

This, seriously, may delay the start: Console Living Room

I do love me some Atari 2600 games so finding this is clearly going to be both a blessing and a curse.

Actually, that does help. ;)

Oh, I never had a Coleco console, but some of those games are awesome! I just played some Burgertime. Badly.

Come to think of it, I rather like this more generic homage-like avatar better than the one specific to a character I'm playing. Might just keep it.

That is why I have stayed away from c64 emulators. I couldnt begin to imagine the time I would waste nowadays on a computer reliving my teenage game playing days.

If I think of how much time I spent playing "Impossible Mission," "Lode Runner" and "Summer Games"...well, I better not think about that.

I totally just tried to play that on the Sega Genesis console (still my favorite of all time) and couldn't easily get it to work, or manage the controls. I'm determined to not waste more time playing around with it... for now.

Man, I love classic video games!

I dont know if the console version is the same as the c64. My brother and I had epic battles on that one.
We each would get perfect scores in the vault and skeet.
the sprint required practically breaking your joystick.
the long distance run was boring as sin.
I dont really recall the others.

Hedge hasn't even been on the forum in about a week because this is the only active game he's in and he isn't currently running anything, so I sent him a PM. Hopefully that will put a message in the inbox of his regular e-mail.

I sent him a PM on Tuesday which he hasn't read yet. I edited it last night to tell him that we're going to get started. His character is actually still incomplete, so I figured we'd kick things off and work him in later.

Maybe it's a stat check? In which case, you're golden! ;) I mean, not quite "golden Adventure dragon Avatar", but then who is?

Oh, that's right. Me.

Cheeky!

Knowing my luck, though, I'm probably nowhere near golden. Probably more like red, as in 'Venture Winky red'. Much less impressive.

Haha! I'm sure you're fine, brother.

Of course, my record so far in Dave's games is 1 and 1, so... Take that with a grain pillar of salt.

Gary (hedgeknight) is in! :D

I still need to review the finishing touches on his character, and I'm still waiting on the opening d20 from spanningtree, but I plan on posting the first official update tomorrow sometime. My kids are off from school again tomorrow (they were today as well), so my availability during the day will be spotty at best as I'll be in full-time dad mode. It's probably safe to assume I won't be online for any length of time until later tomorrow night (Friday), which will lead us into the weekend.

My plan is to get the introductory post out there tomorrow, but let's use next Monday (11/10) as the official kick off date. Any/everyone is welcome to post between now and then, but the daily post requirement will not officially start until then.

Looking forward to getting things started, guys.
