Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
Good timing - a little early though. Not yet - I'll reach out, but hopefully it will be obvious. I will be soliciting player/character input later today/this evening.GreyWolfVT wrote:Mr. DM/GM just checking am I to reply in the IC portion at this time?

Please give your character Gauntlets of Ogre Power; so he'll have that and +1 axe I think?FronkyDondo wrote:Good timing - a little early though. Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
Everyone, welcome Dram to the group. As long as he/she can get his/her character ready within next 24 hours, we should be ready to roll...
I may drop the NPC F/MU/T and let Skyzar (1/2E MU/T) replace him.

Are you able to look over the character sheets? I would like to know if my character sheet is correct.

hi dram!
When you have your character sheet open at the top it should say something like
but yours will have a different number to mine which is 1824.
hope that makes sense

Ready, armed and willing! Should be all systems go.
Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
Got my macros ready, I'm set to go.
Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
My memory is telling me in AD&D, all damage is multiplied during a Backstab, not just the base weapon damage. I believe this was clarified by the sage at some point. Am I correct or just suffering from dementia?
Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
I have all my macros completed except backstabbing I cannot get to work properly. to hit: [1d20+5], to dam: [1d4+2x4] .
The damage section it will not work with +2 and multiplyer of 4.

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
I guess that you could at least place the x4 after the brackets so it appears as a reminder in the results "[1d4+2]x4":Dram wrote:I have all my macros completed except backstabbing I cannot get to work properly. to hit: [1d20+5], to dam: [1d4+2x4] .

[1d4+2] = 3+2 = 5x4
... PS. the notes for Skyzar list backstab as x3 not x4, so either the macro or the notes need adjusting [or I mis-remember how the backstab works, which is not unthinkable

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
To be honest, that's how me and my brother always did it - so yeah, you get to multiply everything. One of the perks of being a thief. That and the lousy THACO - I guess that evens it out.barna10 wrote:My memory is telling me in AD&D, all damage is multiplied during a Backstab, not just the base weapon damage. Thank You that will work. Hope the site admins will be to make a solution.

Dram, I'm curious, why a multiplier of 4 on the backstab? Shouldn't it by x3?
