Tibbius

Tib does not like being trapped on a stairway during combat. He will keep a sharp eye out so nothing creeps up at us from behind.

Expecting the wraiths, Agrippo poises for action in some defensive stance and then lunges into action the moment they materialise, striking twice this round:

1st melee: to hit 19, damage 8
2nd melee to hit 20, damage 9.

Agrippo will target the same wraith unless killed by the first blow. How many come through the door?

You get the jump on the wraiths. Vorkath swaps positions with Fendt, who is eager to get into the action.

Fendt hits a wraith hard in with a swing of his magical mace. At least, he seems to: the shadowy figure reels and wails in pain even though the mace seems to go right through it. Fendt takes another swing at the reeling wraith, just barely missing.

Agrippo slices the sunsword through the other wraith. It too, shrieks in pain.

The wraiths counterattack. The one on Fendt stumbles. You didn't even know wraiths could stumble. This one does, giving Fendt the opportunity for still another free attack, which hits.

Tumbler ponders names for the shop he'll open when he quits this dangerous adventuring life. "Tumbler's Locksmith" has a nice ring to it, he thinks.

Agrippo only gets 3 attacks every 2 rounds with the Sunsword because he doesn't have the weapon specialization. Next round will be the 2-attack round.

even magic weapons don't kill these dang things ....

Fendt swings some more. Footman's Mace[1d20+1] = 13+1 = 14 Dmg[1d6+2] = 5+2 = 7

"dang my slow arm", Agrippo curses as the wraith escapes undead death, continuing to attack, Agrippo carries on the melee:

1st attack: to hit 5, dam 7,
2nd attack: to hit 8 dam 9, hoping I've dismissed him with my glowing blade.

Vorkath bobs his head, looking an opening to thrust his sword between the two in front of him to strike a wraith.

Fendt continues to swing at the wraiths. After being stuck in the tower for so long, it feels good actually to bash something. His enthusiasm for combat serves him well as he continues to damage the foe in front of him. The wraith still un-lives, but in its greatly weakened state it is unable to hurt Fendt.

Agrippo carries on the melee. The wraith dodges both of Agrippo's swings and counters with an icy claw that just manages to reach Agrippo's face. Agrippo's scarab amulet glows for a moment. (Agrippo: -5 HP. The scarab absorbs 1 level of draining.)

Vorkath looks for a chance to join the melee, but he can't get his sword past Agrippo and Fendt.
BTW: Iluq (but not Vorkath) can try to turn the wraiths again if he wants to. You may want to kill the things, of course, but I wanted to clarify that a cleric can keep turning undead over and over as long as he's successful each time.

Initiative: Party [1d6] = 5 Monsters [1d6] = 4
Wraiths v. Fendt: [1d20] = 11 [1d6] = 1, v. Agrippo: [1d20] = 17 [1d6] = 5 With Vorkath's Protection from Evil aura, the wraith just barely hit Agrippo.

Good to know actually, didn't know that. I will let the two front fighters go at it for a bit, I'd rather the wraiths be dead than roaming around the place.

Fendt continues his assault Footman's Mace[1d20+1] = 14+1 = 15 Dmg[1d6+2] = 3+2 = 5 he speaks while in combat back over his shoulder "If you wish to take over good Paladin by all means speak up and I can step aside."

Agrippo will look at his scarab of protection, the medallion sewn onto his crimson breatsplate rather like some Sgt stripes, though now missing a bar,"this is gonna hurt you a lot more than it'll hurt me!" he'll snarl at the wraith, enraged Agrippo will critically hit (20+3) =23 but only for 6 damage.

The wraiths get the first strike this round, but Agrippo and Fendt dodge the attacks. The heroes respond, Fendt with his mace, Agrippo with the Sunsword, each finally putting an end to their opponents! The wraiths vanish in puffs of shrieking smoke.

Vorkath, paladin

"Well do your blade and mace vanquish the undead," says the paladin to Agrippo and Fendt. "That I would heal you with my True God-given power, but time and rest are needed for such. With this threat banished, perhaps now we can secure respite."

Fendt "Well I don't know this Ireena but he has held captives here even those that don't know they are captive for long periods of time and has not bitten them so perhaps Ireena has the same luck as those other captives."

Robert think he has he spell barkskin still ready and casts it on fendt unsure if it will help against the wraith. If he has it- "he says at fendt Treeskin."

"Seeing the sword dim Robert stops mid spell to refrain from casting. You did it. Good job."
