Re: IC XIII
It takes over an hour to prepare a pyre for the dead, and it is late afternoon by the time the companions are ready to begin tracking the brigands back to their lair. The tracks follow a narrow game trail, not wide enough for the wagons. After some discussion it is decided that the wagons will be secreted in the woods some distance from the Duke's Road, and the horses unhitched and brought along.
The trail winds through the forest, and here and there are visible signs of the bandit's passage; it appears they have at least one beast of burden. Unfortunately, it begins to darken towards night before too long.

Severi Silvertongue, Elf
Severi laments the lack of a more rapid corpse-disposal system, and volunteers to take watch during the darkest part of the night.

The night passes without incident.
Yarthmont 15, AC 1000
The companions rise in the morning and set off on the trail of the brigands. After perhaps an hour of walking, Rhys notices a most curious thing; standing some two hundred or so feet off the trail is a statue of what looks to be armored warrioress, carved from some sort of whitish stone that has been stained grey and green by the years. The statue is at least twice the size of a normal person.

If there's a fountain we should find a rabbit and throw it in and see what happens.

"These are more distractions. If we're hunting down these bandits, let's do so before they lead us even further from the main road. If we aren't going to, let's go back to town."

Rhys shrugs and keeps walking past the statue, keeping an eye out for tracks.

If nobody else does, then he will. But he gives others the opportunity, first...

Aquar, cleric
Aquar nods no to the invisibilty enchantment. He readies hammer and spell. "I do have a potion of blending should we decide that is useful," he says.
