The priest of Procan has been fooled by a doppleganger before, when it plagued the group in the northern woods. Though the druid's owl companion makes it unlikely she is one, Aquar privately voices his concern to Rhys. "I am a little wary of strangers approaching in the night. I am without my Detect Evil spell at the moment," he adds.

Rhys nods in agreement.

"Though I sense no evil intent, I agree with your cautious thoughts, Brother Aquar."

If he can quietly gather the other main party members together, he will remind them of the doppelgangers they've dealt with before, "I suggest no retainer or henchman or person of any kind be asked to join the group until we are all in agreement and they are thoroughly vetted, possibly even put to sleep by one of our own who can cast such spells to test for innate magical resistance that might be indicative of such a creature."
