Haysa and Lumiere prepare for the Raise Dead Ritual for Tungsten.

Tungsten is laid across the altar with the Netherbane on top of his body.

The incantations are read: Haysa: "Bring forth the return of Tungsten Anvilbreak in the Name of Malazar the Mighty!"

Then the gems crushed...slowly a fog drifts into the sanctuary and three Angels of Death reluctantly bring the soul of Tungsten back into his lifeless corpse.

Lumiere quickly casts others spells of healing as his soul reenters his body. The ritual concluded, Netherbane is greedily devoured by the Angels, Lumiere calls upon Tungsten to take his first breath.....

DM: Tungsten needs to roll his d6 for ability score loss (1=ST, 2=I, 3=W, 4=D, 5=C, 6=CH).

DM: Tungsten needs to roll system shock: 3d6 and get below his Con score.

DM: Tungsten lost another Level. So I believe he is down 2 levels from the start of the last encounter.

But he gets xp from the previous 2 correct?

He gets full XP from the last 2 sessions. But they start at minimum XP for two levels below his current. Not sure what level he was...7th?

He was at least 8th.

After Kaleb's ritual, does Lumiere get XP for preforming those rituals, communing with Malazar, role-playing, etc?

DM: Adjust XP based upon encounters. Then level accordingly with caveat one can't gain 2 levels per adventure. A PC can gain +25% over his new level. Additional XP will be provided after those numbers have been determined just like Rickul.

Likewise, Doricin can gain XP if he crafts a poem called the Witches Blight (or some other creative name).

SO the rituals fall under the same encounter as the Blight?

No. The communing with your diety and performing the ritual along with Haysa grants you additional XP. I just want to know where you are now after all the XP awarded to date. You gain additional.

When last I checked, it was my understanding that we could go to +25% with the xp from the blight, and then add the Greenhaven XP to that, is that still correct?

That is correct. When you do all that math, let me know where you stand with XP.

Lumiere has gathered insight into the workings of her faith in regard to the most powerful rituals. She has received instructions from archeons and Malazar himself on important struggles. She has become an important tool for the faith of Malazar in the Duchy. She has gained 2500XP with no restrictions.

Back in Greenhaven, Rickul suddenly feels the urge to purchase sunglasses before returning to the Sidon area. 8-)

Kaleb

#13 Post by Johnny Champion »

After the return of *Tungsten, Haysa and Lumiere begin the preparations for Kaleb.

Though similar in many ways, the 10 exquisite gems and the powerful gift to the Angels of Death, are an added burden to the party.

Kaleb's headless body is placed on the altar. His stitched to his neck by Acolytes of Haysa. The gems ready in Haysa's crucible, waiting the proper time to be crushed. However, the party has NOT decided on an appropriate gift. Haysa becomes impatient, annoyed at Lumiere, for not having this most important item brought to the ritual.

DM: *There are additional rolls I need from Tungsten to complete his journey back. He is in Limbo currently.

and there was much rejoicing. Doricin buys gallons of Malazar Ale to drink and take with us.

While imbibing, he pens a humorous song/poem about recent events. Now, if he can just remember the words once he sobers up!!

OOC- It's. In the previous resurrection thread that we would use Kaleb's magic plate mail, as that is the only item he owns of value. We wrote a whole thing about it.

"Mother I think the Angels of Death have a fondness for the Black Obsidian. Please offer this vial of powder to them."

With that she looks to Doricin for the vial.

With a bit of rejoicing in the return of Tungsten, the Greenhaven party returns to the Temple of Sidon.

Doricin provides the Vial in the hopes that it will be enough for the Angels of Death.

Haysa implores all others to depart other than Lumiere and the ritual begins.

The incantations are read: Haysa: "Bring forth the return of the servant, Kaleb, in the Name of Malazar the Mighty!"

Then the gems crushed...slowly a fog drifts into the sanctuary and three Angels of Death reluctantly bring the soul of Kaleb back into his lifeless corpse.

His body glows and every scar of battle is removed, his body being reconstituted in the brightness of Malazar. The ritual concluded, Vial of BO is greedily taken by the Angels, Lumiere calls upon Kaleb to take his first breath.....

DM: Kaleb needs to roll his d6 for ability score loss (1=ST, 2=I, 3=W, 4=D, 5=C, 6=CH).

DM: Kaleb needs to roll (2) system shocks: 3d6 and get below his Con score.

DM: Kaleb lost a Level.

Is the stat loss before or after the system shock, it could matter?
