He has a Wand of Wonder. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Speaking of the wand.....does it have charges? If so, do I know how many are left?

Re: OOC Discussion
A note on aerial combat: archers take to-hit penalties while levitating, and melee attacks suffer a similar penalty while flying and twice the penalty when levitating. From the DMG:
DMG pp. 51-52 wrote:Levitation: ... Recipients of the levitation spell who wish to use bows from their elevated position will find that they are not totally stable, and thus shooting is slightly more difficult. Such archers will shoot at -1 "to hit." This is cumulative, subtracting another point from the archer's chance to hit for each successive round of fire until -3 is reached, as the archer becomes increasingly unstable. Continued firing will not lower the archer's chances beyond -3, and any round not spent firing (or fighting) will allow him or her to stabilize and start again at -1. Slinging, casting javelins or spears, or actually swinging a weapon (such as a sword) will be at double the minuses "to hit" for archery, i.e., -2, -4, -6.
Fly spell: . . . There is no penalty for archery while flying (assuming the archers are hovering—if they are moving, see AERIAL COMBAT, Aerial Missile Fire), but there are minuses for slinging or swinging weapons, and these are the same as the penalties for archery while levitating, i.e., -1 to hit, cumulative per successive rounds until -3 is reached.

Re: OOC Discussion
umm well can we just say that I stopped levitating I'd rather be walking as it is. .... as it appears I was able to control my up and down I should have been able to levitate to the floor correct?

Re: OOC Discussion
You can lower yourself to the floor to negate the penalty. The potion will remain effective for the full duration should you want to levitate again before it expires.

Re: OOC Discussion
alright so that is the plan I meant to do it before we tried to navigate to the next set of stairs.

Re: OOC Discussion
Fendt is GreyWolfVT's new character. He took over Robert from another player and wasn't happy playing a druid in this module, so I said he could roll up a new character and I'd work it into the game.
I'll be running Robert as an NPC for now.

Re: OOC Discussion
Hmm well I cannot say that Tib was at all worthless Ogre he was very helpful and more so than my entire time playing Robert the druid who can't do much besides pretend to be a fighter and cast very few of his spells to which have been essentially useless.

Re: OOC Discussion
Ya I hear ya.
Druid in a castle?
Not the best scenario.
I don't mind playing Tib.
Playing the frightened weakling can be fun sometimes too.

Re: OOC Discussion
lol but Tib has some useful aspects and has been a larger help from what I have seen than Robert at least to this point in the castle.

Re: OOC Discussion
No reflection on the job you're doing, but I've decided that it probably wouldn't be overpowering to keep both Fendt and Robert in the game. I've posted a message offering Robert to players who want to join the game.

GDI! I made a character for one job and he fumbled.
Re: OOC Discussion
I know! It's Tumbler's turn to shine, and he chokes (well, technically, sneezes) under pressure!
Sorry about that. At least he still had that dwarven resistance to poison going for him.
