Elsa moves to the side as her comrades bolt. Someone steps on her toe.

"I hope they keep their heads running around out there," says Elsa to Xale. "Should we wait? What does your spell-trap-sense tell you about that south wall door?"

Xale never answered about the detect trap on the door.

Xale takes a moment from worrying about Malvexa to tell Elsa that he detects no traps on the door.

Abrex does a check to make sure we are all accounted for. Abrex checks his backpack for Lucky.

Abrex says, "Ula come! Are we all here? I think the mist is just some kind of fear mist."

OOC Can we get to the door without getting in the mist? With the mist in a larger volume of space has it dissipated?

Elsa, fighter

"If we're together now, and this door is untrapped, let us proceed," says the half-orc warrior.

It takes half an hour, but Eduardo finally calms down. Xale offers to attempt a dispelling dweomer that might help Mason return to her old form—or might not.

Malvexa and the animals do not return.

You proceed to the door and open it. Beyond the door is a passage so clogged with webs that you can only see a few feet into it. Stairs lead down into you know not what.

The webs look like thick, glistening spider webs, not cobwebs.

Malibran speaks, "Do we go after Malvexa or is it too dangerous to pursue? These webs spell danger for sure - I'm leaning to burning them out but what additional damage that may do to any clues is a risk to discuss"

Abrex says, "I am reluctant to go on until I find Ula. I fear for hear safety in a dungeon so riddled with Traps. He let's out a howl to signal to her his location should she be able to return. Realizing they must continue and he must hope for the best for Ula so he continues on. Here let me cast Burning hands. If someone else prefers to do something different he holds off. If no one decide differently Abrex fans his hands and steps forward so no others would be burned as he cast his spell. He slowly moves in as the flames clear the webs, listening to Mason in case he spots a trap and warns him to stop."

"Given what my Gust of Wind did with the mist, I would be hesitant about burning the webs without fore-thought. It just may be the best idea, but I think we should pause and not act rashly," Worren says.

Elsa the Rash

"Burn those damn webs to hell!" says Elsa.

She backs to the right, shield raised.

Hearing Worren plea for caution Abrex delays his casting in case others wish to act differently. If there are no other concerns by his friends though, he proceeds to burn them clear.

Abrex steps forward to the web-filled corridor, fans his hands, and speaks the magic words manos flambé.

Nothing happens.

Abrex realizes he didn't prepare burning hands today.
Cwreando: I don't see Burning Hands in your list of prepared spells for the day and I couldn't find it by searching the forum. If you did list it among your memorized spells, could you please send me a link? Thanks!

I had it on my character sheet, as not used, so when I posted that I was using Burning hands I clicked the spell to mark it as used. I may have used it earlier in the dungeon and didn't mark it off then so you didn't have it listed which might have happened. I typically mark it off as used at the time I post stating that I am using that spell not after the fact. I could have used it though and not marked it earlier in the dungeon.

Abrex says, "Sorry gang my mind went blank there for a second. I could use a fireball or Fire wall but that seems a bit much for this situation. Stand back folks it looks like we are doing this the hard way. I can either start chopping our way through this very carefully or we can do something different."

Abrex takes a look at the webbing to see if he can get a fireball spell to go off midway to the radius of the fireball or if it would expand back out toward them too much.

Xale is rather distracted by his missing right hand dwarf and friend and only has a little bit of attention to the situation the party finds itself in. "Well...why don't you try just burning the webs with regular torches? By the way; do any of you have any dweamors that might be used to help us find our missing companions?"; he asks hopefully....

Abrex says, "Let's rest here for the evening. I can adjust my spells and we can wait for or friends/companions to come back. We have an alcove here to defend ourselves defensively with and it gives us a chance to decide how we get past these webs if not by spells. I could just burn them down with a fire wall spell too, but it seems extreme."
