Round 5
Sky makes quick work of the second goblin bandit in the storage room as her perfectly aimed crossbow bolt sinks between its eyes; dropping it immediately.

Kelben does the same, dispatching the remaining bandit in the archery area with a masterful slice with his rapier.

Erky and Meepo remain hidden.

The last remaining goblin -- the whistle blower -- gives his warning device two shrill tweets, assuming its fate has been sealed, but manages to elude fire blasts from both Klilxuac and Hargrem.

"O'k khraagaar togegaan." is says calmly in the goblin tongue while it grips its wound. "You'll never survive." it repeats in the common tongue, for your benefit.


Some rustling sound is heard coming from the door to Klilxuac's left, and a lot of scrambling sounds are heard coming from the door on the far side of the hazy, column-filled chamber.

If the goblins don't arrive sooner, the sorcerer moves into the room with the remaining goblin. Assuming no other goblins arrive from a different direction, if the sole goblin the party currently faces still lives, he will launch another fire bolt at him. If, however, there are no more goblins to face in the immediate area, he will position himself so that he can get the first goblin through the door with a spray of poison.

Sky's ears perk up at the sounds behind the doors. "Company!" She shouts to the group. She reloads her crossbow, then slinks behind the nearby column hiding from sight. If a goblin comes through the door near Klilxuac, she will fire a bolt at it.
Hand crossbow: [1d20+5] = 2+5 = 7
Damage: [1d6+3] = 5+3 = 8

The cleric knew that time was not on their side. He said a quick prayer to Tymora and again lifted his shield in the direction of the goblin coming through the door that the dragonborn and tabaxi went through. He hoped this would be done quickly as they needed to regroup and reinforce. It was a shame to Hargrem that Meepo was completely useless.
Action: Cast Sacred Flame on Goblin.
Damage: [1d8] = 7 on failed DEX 13 save
Bonus Action: Cast Healing Word on Self
Heal: [1d4+3] = 1+3 = 4

Round 6
Sky's ears perk up at the sounds behind the doors. "Company!" she shouts to the group as she reloads her crossbow and slinks into cover behind the nearby column. She trains her crossbow on the door leading to the storage area and prepares to loose a bolt if her dragonborn companion is attacked.

Kelben steps forward and attempts to run the remaining goblin bandit through with his rapier, but his blade catches on a buckle of the goblin's leather armor and fails to catch flesh. Erky and Meepo continue to hide.

"At!" yells the goblin, now facing opponents on both fronts. It turns back around to face Kelben, lashing out wildly with its goblin blade. The gnome rogue deftly leaps back to avoid being struck by a powerful strike.

Klilxuac, remaining in place, targets the bandit with a 'Fire Bolt' that sails harmlessly overhead as the goblin ducks out of harm's way. Having grown some familiarity with the spell, the goblin bandit also manages to skirt out of the flame-like radiance that Hargrem causes to descend down in the area of the persistent goblin.

Tymora was not shining on his flame spell. He grunted as he witnessed the vile creature be spared. It was time to bring out the big hammer! Hargrem waved his mace around and around in a circle as he chanted some celestial incantantion. When the words culminated in an uprising voice, he pointed the head of the mace at the creature. But, what had gone wrong?!? He missed another spell
Attack: Cast Inflict Wounds; [1d20+5] = 8+5 = 13 (MISS)!

The sounds of combat coming from the storage room she tiptoed through remind her that her companions are still in combat. She creeps out of hiding until she is able to see the last goblin. "Your father smelt of elderberries!" She mocks the wounded goblin with tales of how pleasant his father was. "Your father kept a fuzzy white bunny as a pet!"

Beginning to get frustrated with his inability to hit with his fire bolt, Klilxuac moves a little closer in hopes of being more accurate with his aim before letting loose another burst.

Round 7
Sky creeps out of hiding until she is able to see the last goblin. "Your father smelt of elderberries!" She mocks the wounded goblin with tales of how pleasant his father was. "Your father kept a fuzzy white bunny as a pet!" the bard taunts, continuing the mockery that accompanies her cantrip, which appears to have an effect on the bandit. "Tuuc ar!" it snaps in the unfamiliar tongue, clearly distracted... and quickly turns in response to the last verbal barb; this sudden movement causing Kelben's jab with his rapier to catch nothing but air.

The goblin wheels back around to face the only target within range, but the earlier taunting still rattles through its brain, distracting it, and causing its aim to be less than true.

A mote of fire bursts forth from Klilxuac, searing the final adversary... at the moment.

The rustling sound heard coming from the dragonborn's left continues to no longer be heard, and even the scrambling sounds coming from the door on the far side of the hazy, column-filled chamber seem to have fallen silent.

"There was a lot of noise coming from the other end of the hall. We need to be on our guard." She looks at Elky and pauses. "You don't look so good Kelben. You should eat more."

No longer concerned with stealth, Sky leaves the body in the hazy, columned room to meet up with the group in the storeroom; all while remembering their use of a whistle and how crafty goblins are becoming. "There was a lot of noise coming from the other end of the hall. We need to be on our guard." She looks at Elky -- not aware that the group had previously discovered and released the gnome prisoner -- and pauses, "You don't look so good Kelben. You should eat more."

Gesturing back toward the far end of the hazy room, the sorcerer speaks. More goblins are likely to come that way. Maybe we should try the door in the room with the archers.

Sky looks from Kelben to Erky and back. She shrugs. "Not all Gnomes, I guess. Some wear nicer clothes and jewelry. You just don't have the natural markings of my kind." She smiles. "At least you aren't as hard to make out as humans."

"Speaking of Gnomes. Nice to meet you Erky. You look wounded. Shall I try to help you?"

She turns to Klilxuac. "Sounds like a plan. One door is as good as another."

Hargrem

The cleric looked around at the others and considered the recent skirmish. Luck was not on his side, and he had expended nearly all of his Tymora-given talents. But, this storeroom was no place to rest up and heal. They needed to press on, and hope that she decided to look favorably on the group.

The dragonborn suggested the door from behind them, and Hargrem agreed. Yes, I think we should go that way first. When you are ready, we will move on.

He waited until the others completed their business and opened the door. He walked over to the door where the two goblins surprised them earlier and waited for the party to assemble. He then opened it, hoping that an arrow would not come flying at him.

Hallway, Bandit Living Quarters
The group elects to exit through the door in the archery area -- that the archers previously indicated was the way to Chief Durnn -- and find themselves in another 10-foot wide corridor. A door on the right side of the corridor is cast wide open, and a foul odor emanates from it.

Kelben takes a quick peek inside this open room and stench, garbage, and carrion left behind here are evidence of years of use by unsanitary tenants. Tattered hides stretched on frames form six unstable hammocks around a much-used firepit fill the floor. Battered cooking equipment is mixed indiscriminately with broken or worn arms and armor.

At the far end of the approximately 25-foot long hallway, a wooden door with a lock is found in the center of the terminating wall.

Recognizing the scent of sleeping quarters, Sky enters the room and looks around. She'll kick some things around to search for any possible valuables. "That other way looks suspicious. We should proceed carefully." She says, watching the others and waiting for them to go first.

"So, Ekry? What do you know of the Chief Durnn?"
