[Thorelf and Korin has been standing at a spot a bit up the corridor for a few minutes now, maybe more.]

Slight edit after GM feedback.

Clarification: Ox, Norbold and Phoenix can see Korin and Thorelf all right - they're standing just in front of them, and are not 'gone'.
But what Ox, Norbold and Phoenix can't quite see is what Korin and Thorelf can see, since Ox, Norbold and Phoenix are standing further back and have a limited view of what the guys up front, peering into another area, can see.

That's all!

Korin does some moving around looks like he is checking the tunnel passage and rocks in his area. That or he's checking for traps the movements and what is being done is hard to discern from a distance with no light source other than that the dwarf holds a lit torch still and the others can see it move as the dwarf moves ;)

Thorelf returns halfway to the others and waves, signalling that they come join him and Korin (which I assume they do according to previous posts).

Then, as he returns, he moves slowly towards the face, stops one or two yards away, and studies it.

Peering out of the last 10' of the passage, you all see a large, dimly illuminated chamber open up. Sporting a high ceiling, it spreads out a bit to the right and to the left. To the right it seems to come to an end.
To the left, a bit further down along the opposite wall, stands a strange pillar, possibly 30' high and shaped a bit like an irregular, clumsy hammer - with a relief of a face placed on the 'head' side.
The place is totally silent. (The picture shows the view if 'looking left' from the passage exit)

Thorelf tries to discern the source of the illumination.

"What is this place?"

Ox- That definitely looks like a trap. Try to throw something down there. Ox looks for something to hand to Krin for him to throw.

Korin senses that the pillar is not newly constructed, but can't determine if it is trapped.

When inspecting the column, Thorelf finds that there is only a face on one side - all other sides of the 'hammer head' are faceless.

Thorelf cannot locate the source of the cave illumination - it seems to be omnipresent. But when the party has fully entered, a circle of coloured lights magically appear around the 'hammer head', and slowly start swirling around it, while the face moves to speak.

It is a magic mouth, and it utters the following words, booming through the air of the high-ceilinged hall:

"Sit ye down
and listen to me.
No one will trouble you
any more

The way you came in
is not the way to leave.
The giants are coming.
But you still have time

Stone is not transparent,
but almost, in places.

Continue your quest
- these might become useful

Don't fight over them
Cooperation is survival...."

Korin tries to remember the words the stone head said trying to commit them to memory "Huh. Well that just dun happened. Aint never heard no talking stone head afore but guess there's a time fer everythin. Now what do ya suppose that all meant?"

A riddle of sorts. We should start checking the stone walls to see if they are merely illusions or windows perhaps. says the gnome, tapping the walls around the room with his dagger thrusting hard to endure his arm will pass through a wall that isn’t real.

As the echoes of the face's finishing words die out, and the adventurers discuss their meaning (while Phoenix starts tapping the wall area immediately next to him (without any results in that particular spot), the magical lights continue to swirl, but now slower and slower..........

"Hold on guys, I think it tells us to get one of these..."

Thorelf climbs up to the hammer head to fetch one of the glowing lights. If it doesn't radiate extreme heat, Thorelf tries to catch one of the coloured lights and put it in his belt pouch.

Climb walls (85%): [1d100] = 5
