Question about a monster

#1 Post by ToniXX »

Okay, so I'm looking for a certain monster, but I'm not sure it even exists. My memory is fuzzy so I thought I'd ask you guys.

Is there some monster that is like a living statue or a statue that comes alive? It seems like there is, or if not, there should be :) Of course, I'm only speaking within the realm of D&D up to 2ed (OD&D, 1ed, BECMI, 2ed).

Post if you know something, and thanks!

If there is one, I'm pretty sure it's easy to kill.

Just sayin'. :)

LOL

You never know. It could be one bad*** statue! ;)

It was bothering me. I haven't DM'd in so long I've forgotten all but the most common monsters, but I knew there was something else that might fit as an alternative to a Caryatid Column (<-- something I had never heard of before!):

Golem

They're like statues, right?

Yeah, I looked at golems but they are too high level for what I need. I forgot how tough a Golem can be.
