Ciar gives Sparrow an odd sort of glance with a raised eye brow. "Ummm... pretty sure it goes back to the first room with the rope from the ceiling we used to get down here, mate."

Sparrow, and any that follow him, quickly learn that Ciar speaks the truth. The two exits on the southern half of the idol room both lead back to the same entry area.

Oh yes, that's right. My memory seems to be playing tricks on me. Has it really been that long since we came in here?

Sparrow gives the others a wry grin.

Sylvan says nothing to Nighttail's reply, but raises an eyebrow towards Sparrow.

He pushes on with the others, bracing for a bigger battle...and wondering why the kobold mage fought them alone.

Grim let's the others pass to return to his customary place in the order, as Sparrow and Sylvan pass he offers a whispered

"We need to be keepin' an even closer eye on the little bugger now fer sure"

Fulp finds a chain shirt beneath the robe of the fallen foe. If anyone can wear it, please take it. It should help withstand an attack.

There is also a quarterstaff, which now lies on the floor. If no one wants it, I'd rather break it than get hit by it later on.


He also finds the caster was wearing a spell component pouch on its belt, which Fulp will gladly toss to Slyvan.

Finally, there was a gold "holy" symbol. Fulp shows them, and agrees to split the revenue when selling it.

Once that is complete. he will get in line, with arrow ready to fly.

Ciar examines the chain shirt, intrigued that a kobold spell caster would be able to wear such a thing... He looks to see if it appears to be unusual or extraordinary in any way.

Before I officially start moving everyone through the northern exit, I will need to know the marching order, and confirm that Ciar and Sorsha are carrying the two everlit torches.

Nighttail catches a glimpse of the golden "holy" symbol Fulp produces and recognizes it immediately. "A priest," he shares. "Must've been Jakkol's replacement. An evil one." Ciar studies the bloodied chain vest the kobold caster was wearing under its robes and can't see anything spectacular about it. If anything, it appears unspectacular, and far too small to be worn by any present members of the current party, Nighttail notwithstanding; whom shakes her head negatively if offered the opportunity to take it.

Ciar hefts his Everbright Torch and stands waiting for the others, ready to take the lead position again...

Sparrow takes up his position behind Ciar and readies his bow again.

Sorsha stays close to Nighttail. Torch in one hand, dagger in other.

She hisses to her lizard charge: "That curse your priest...paralyzed me with...can others of you kind work such sorcery? It was the most terrifying thing I've ever experienced. "

Sorsha hisses at Nighttail, and the kobold simply cocks its head sideways and shrugs its shoulders unknowingly. Suspicions raised, the knife-tosser makes sure to keep their kobold companion in front of her once the group begins moving again, with Ciar assuming the point position.

The halfling cautiously leads the group north through the kobold corridor, then continues to follow the passage as it turns southwest. The taller members of the group are once again forced to crouch down as they move; victims of the cramped hallways. Ciar takes this southwestern turn approximately 20-feet when, after a brief, initial shriek of pain is sent echoing through the tight quarters, an increasingly loud chorus of kobold chattering is heard emerging from nearly behind the entire group. Sorsha turns, spilling light on the situation, and, through another illusionary wall, like the one missed earlier leading towards Huk, a swarm of kobolds can be seen erupting into the passageway the group is now following.

Nighttail, lies motionless on the floor with a kobold spear run through his throat.
