That's pretty cool. Happy birthday!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

and to think Max was just trying to be a nice friend by not mentioning it to the adults in the room like the good Doc Barnes or Max's Dad. But guess friendship is lost I let him off the hook once already.... :P

It escalated quickly...

It was my mistake, I rushed things too much. I hope GreyWolf will agree to re-trace our steps and wait for Scott308's proper in-game post. Of course, Max's reaction might stay the same, but right now, it's a bit out of the blue. We need to give Scott308/Zack the chance to flesh out his actions in-game.

All in all, I allow conflict between player characters. Zack and Max are quite different characters. I just want it to be played out properly, in-game. Right now we have an in-game reaction from GW/Max to Scott308's OOC statement!

you'll noticed I "edited" my last reply. But I may just go to Mario without informing Zack before hand. Then again that guy can be annoying with his word play.. I might just over look it unless i ever become a sheriff ;)

That type of reaction is totally okay, I just want this all played out properly! How about you delete your last post (but save the text, just in case, as a draft) and we wait for Scott308's in-game reaction.

I want to see this conflict play out properly, I think it's a great RP opportunity.

I'm afraid you guys will have to be a bit more persuasive with my character, perhaps a dice roll or... something more underhanded is called for.

Lawrence is one of those kind of guys that is smart and level headed at the best of times, and night time is his best time. He values the safety and comforts of the vault life and recognizes the inherent dangers involved with leaving the vault, despite his strong curiosity to learn more of the world. There is also another strong reason he would stay behind, something outside of his moral responsibilities, perhaps something more personal.
Even a child that receives one bit of praise has the ability to excel in a single talent, and those who receive regular encouragement can feel confidence, achieve success, and become leading members of society. Because they don’t believe they are worthless, they don’t need to raise a fist and have vengeance against fate or the world at large… ~Inspector Lunge

That's why I opted to just bring Victoria and not Max. Quincy has always known about the feelings Lawrence has for Victoria and knows that out of anyone she would be the best person to persuade him to do something.

It's no surprise that the two people that have the highest persuasion skills, which can amount to being the most manipulative, got together.

Also Fantasychick is rolling amazingly well. I want her dice.

You guys are great, moving the story along in my absence. The Persuasion roll was well played (and placed) as well.
FantasyChic wrote:Though this is a good time to ask a question. I have +1 Charisma and +40 to Speech when dealing with men but only for reactions. When do I take advantage of that?
The exact wording is
When interacting
with members of the opposite sex, you
gain a 1 point bonus to Charisma for
reactions only. When making Speech and
Barter rolls, you gain a 40% bonus for
each.
The reaction part only applies to the CH bonus. Reaction is more like an initial psychological (khm, maybe even physiological) response you get from a PC or an NPC.

The skill bonus is just that, a flat-out whooping bonus! So, against Lawrence your skill is 105%!

Indeed, indeed ;)
