Chapter 05: The depths of despair

Korin shuts the door and turns around "Alright we follow the fleeing goblins then. Well fellas lets go yer blockin me way."

[Dram]

Ox- Hold off on bringing torch into this room let me use my night eyes to make sure we have company hiding in the dark.

[MonkeyWrench]

Jacob nods to Ox, staying behind as he holds the torch, waiting for the signal that he can proceed forward.

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin peers into the room to see what he can see with his low light vision.

[Dram]

Ox- Do we want to follow the goblins or there is a low heat signature up ahead in the darkness. Korin do you see anything different than I do?

Ox- Thief/MU HP 6/7max, AC 3 Than lets go after them Gobs

Jacob raises his torch a bit higher, "Then lets move on after them."

Korin "Eh it looks like they may have defecated but that makes trailin em easier." the dwarf says as he heads off to follow the path the fleeing goblins went.

Norbold goes after the goblins, being a bit careful where he steps after, Korin, points out the goblin shit!

[Dram]

Ox- Steps around the goblin s#*t. We must of scared the S#*t out of them. he laughs.

Korin "That er they wet themselves. Hard ta say with this low light vision. All I know is they left behind sign that they was here."

[Nordbo]

The group now stands in the fully lit room, not depending on infravision any more. The door to the left is the one that the scuffling goblins left through. It is closed.

There is no goblin-related organic matter on the floor around your feet - the floor is just rock here. But you do spot some scruffy stuff spread out on the floor just inside the opening on the right; it could be straw or something like that. Part of a curved wall can also be seen in there.

Some dog aroma is still floating around in the air.

No sounds for the moment.

Ox - quietly peers around the hidden corner using his infravision.

[Nordbo]

The light from the torch interferes with the effiency of Ox' infravision, so what he sees is basically just a lo-res version of a normal-lit setting, but it's enough to display a circular room roughly 30x30, with no other exits. The floor is covered with grubby straw stinking of dog, obviously dogs have been kept here, or rested here. No sign of life just now. Bits and bobs lie strewn among the straws.

Korin opens the door and strides in weapon in hand.

Jacob has his dagger in hand as he quickly goes to back up Korin, he does not enter through the doorway however...

Korin opens up the door in the corner. It opens up into a passage leading in at a 45° angle away from the room where the group is right now.

This corridor is a bit narrower - only wide enough for one person.

There's a vague haze along the floor and a foul smell in the air; a bit like rotting eggs. The ceiling looks slimy.

Ox sees nothing around the hidden corner. He moves in behind the rest of the group.
