Tonkioso 'Gizzy' Gizmoebius [Male Clockwork Child Warrior AC 12 : HP 5/ 5]:

Gizzy gets a bit creeped out at the though if the zombie bear & his blood getting mixed, then tries another swing at the zombie bear:

Barton's Long Sword: To Hit: [1d20] = 8 Damage: [1d8+3] = 7+3 = 10 S/M/L

Dag Nabbit, missed again!

Marcus and Simon close in on the bear at the same time, fouling each other's strokes. Simon loses his grip on his sword and it flies in a graceful, spinning arc into some tall grass. Gizzy follows with a sword blow of his own, but misses as the bear turns to attack!

Genna calls out that she will retrieve Simon's sword.

Round Five
The zombie bear is able to attack all three of its assailants at once!
Simon (AC 10) gets the teeth.
[1d20] = 8+3=11. Hit!
Damage: [1d8] = 8

Marcus gets the left claw.
[1d20] = 11+3=14. Hit!
Damage: [1d6] = 1

Gizzy gets the right.
[1d20] = 9+3=12. Hit!
Damage: [1d6] = 1

Rug the Cub rushes in attempts a completely ineffectual attack on the FZB's hind left leg.

The two FZDogs and the FZWoman w/ Pitchfork have fully emerged from the cottage, and will be in position to attack, next round.

Now is the time for some good rolls!

Simon will back away from the battle as Genna retrieves his sword, he has little choice but to cast Healing Touch on himself.
Healing Touch: [1d8] = 8

Bürd springs to his feet, thunks his axe into the dirt, gives one last explosive spit towards the fungal zombies, and pulls a fan-shaped stone from his pouch. Positioning himself with as free a view of the zombies as possible, and none of his friends in front of him, he concentrates briefly, the rune inscribed on the stone glows orange-red, and flames shoot out in a fan towards the zombies!

Burning hands damage: [1d3] = 3+4

Pulp, I understand if you want to delay the casting a turn considering the prep, and it's up to you how many of them Bürd can hit at once.

As I understand the description, Burning Hands has a (not very clearly defined) area effect, so Bürd steps torward the cabin until Gizzy is beside/behind him, and targets Dog2 & the woman.
Range: Near
Duration: Instant
Save: yes
The caster spreads her hands as her eyes glow with a fiery intensity and flames shoot from her fingertips. The resulting fan of fire extends five feet in front of her in a large arc, causing 1d3 damage, plus 2 points for every level of the caster. Targets who make a saving throw versus spell take half damage.

Yup. I just wanted to make it clear that you could go for the dogs and the woman or the bear and your friends.

Simon retreats to heal himself. Marcus and Gizzy continue to flail at the the FZB. The rotting hulk is remarkably fast, and bats away their blows.

Bürd sprints past the FZB, and releases a torrent of fire from his hands! The arc of fire washes over the dogs and the pitchfork-wielding woman.

Saving throws vs. Breath Weapon:
Dog1: [1d20] = 3. Failed. 4 points damage.
Woman: [1d20] = 20. Success. 2 points damage.
Dog2: [1d20] = 12. Failed. 4 points damage.
The three fungal zombies burst into flames! The dogs release a tortured wheeze that might be a yelp of pain, and run off into the tall grass, soon to fall, consumed by flame. The grass immediately catches fire. Genna calls out in alarm, retreating from the long grass, but holding Simon's sword! She will return the sword to Simon next round.

The human zombie, now aflame, closes in on Bürd, brandishing her pitchfork!

Round Six
Bear attacks:
Claw to Marcus: [1d20] = 4+3=7. Miss!
Claw to Rug the Cub: [1d20] = 8+3=11. Hit! Damage: [1d6] = 5. Oh Dear. Looks like you guys might be spending less on rations in the future.
Bite to Gizzy: [1d20] = 16. Hit! Damage: [1d8] = 4

Zombie Human attack on Bürd: [1d20] = 7. Miss!

Poor lil' cub:
Time to use my newly-minted and as-of-yet un-playtested Death and Dismemberment Table for BtW. As an NPC, Rug can't spend a Fortune on himself, and it doesn't look like someone else can spend Fortune on his behalf to Cheat Death. So:
Location: [1d6] = 2. Legs. [1d6] = 4. Left Hind Leg.
Stunned for [2d6] = 10 rounds.
Will die from blood loss in [1d6] = 1 turn (ten rounds).
The Cub's Left Hind Leg has been crushed entirely. Bone protrudes from fur, and blood flows freely. Rug lies where he fell, motionless.

Genna rushes to Simon, handing him his sword, and checking to see if he is alright. Simon can rejoin combat, next round.

Bürd whips his axe up and with a roar swings at the flaming zombie's waist, hoping to cut it in half!

To hit with greataxe: [1d20+3] = 13+3 = 16, damage: [1d10+2] = 7+2 = 9

Marcus's eyes widen at the devastation to the bear cub, his rounds back onto the zombie bear, thrusting his sword towards the creatures throat.

Magical Sword, To Hit: [1d20] = 16, Damage: [1d8+2] = 1+2 = 3

Damage sucked but it looks like Marcus only shines when his friends are in danger... poor bear cub... really low roll on time to bleed out as well so there really isn't any time to save it...

Although Marcus strikes only a glancing blow, Brand now glows visibly red—the blade sizzles against the flesh of the FZB! Next round I'll roll for the possibility that Brand actually catches the FZB on fire, since we've established that this fungus is pretty flammable. MW, be sure to keep track of when your blade starts to cause Marcus damage!

The bear attacks Marcus and Gizzy.

Simon bends down over Gizzy holding his holy symbol, and after saying a silent prayer, he whispers peacefully into his ear. "Awaken clockwork-soldier, your work here is not yet done."" casts From the Brink, which should immediately return Gizzy to 1 hp, unless clockwork children heal differently than anyone else

Gizzy falls under the FZB's massive paw just as Simon rushes up to rejoin the fray. Moving quickly, the young Acolyte drops his recently-recovered sword, and kneels beside his friend, murmuring a prayer even as the slavering monster's jaws open wide before him.

Bürd rushes forward and neatly lops the bear's head off with one mighty blow of his axe! The great hulky body slumps down, issuing black corruption from its neck.

Genna rushes over to help with Gizzy and then gasps as a sensation of warmth passes over Simon and into his fallen friend. Before her shocked eyes, ripped leather mends itself, clockwork unbends and knits, and shattered bellows begin to pump once more. Genna looks at Simon with a wild awe in her eyes. "You... you... That was a miracle!"

Damage:
Marcus: 12 hp
Gizzy: 1 hp, and is now conscious.
Rug the Cub: 0 hp, smashed hind leg, unconscious and will be dead in about nine minutes.

The long grass is on fire where the Zombie Dogs fled and died. The fire has spread and is beginning to lick at the sides of the cabin.

Bürd stomps back to the cabin, pulling a rag up over his mouth and nose as he goes. He sticks his head into the cabin, making sure there aren't any more Fungombies waiting inside, and taking the time to inspect the fungal growths and sniffing out any feeling of magic.

Simon looks sadly at his friend Marcus and the broken bear cub in his arms.
"I'm sorry, Marcus. The gods only grace me with so much magic. I am afraid I over-exhausted myself healing both myself and Gizzy. I may be able to stabilize him, but he will likely lose its leg."
Assuming I am reading the dismemberment rules properly, even if we stop the bleeding, having no fate point would mean that the leg is beyond repair.
"Alternatively, we could decide to ease its passing" Simon makes no move to help the bear at this time, he just strokes its head gently as he waits for Marcus' decision. The acolyte seems to have excepted the bear's fate, one way or another.

OOC: Just wanted to throw this out there to Pulpatoon, I always loved the idea of doing a blood magic ritual and it would be interesting in the way of character development to see how much Marcus would sacrifice to save his cub.
