Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
The figures don't move the keep watching the way out of Tragidore not the way in. They appear to be be talking and motioning towards the town they still have not looked back towards any of you. Something about them does not scream adventurer or heroes come to save Tragidore. There is just something about them that does not feel like they are there to help at all. You all think back to the words of the encounter with the women in the cart and things start to click. "We were ambushed shortly after leaving Tragidore and forced to surrender the meager amount of money we had." .... remember those words...

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Eirik waits a few moments to confirm that they have not been spotted. Once be is sure, he'll carefully draw his sword, and begun creeping towards the figures. It's about tw they got some real answers, he thinks to himself.
Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Dune walks alongside Eirik ready to cast a spell if needed, wanting to get some answers as well.
Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
"Men in leather armour and with short swords. Vagabonds I'd say and certainly up to no good. Wouldn't you agree Theodore?... I think Eirik has it right - they need to be dealt with. But do you want a few arrows put into them first?"

Theodore Mumfordian (Half Sylvanian Wood-Elf) Ranger lvl:5 HP 21/21 AC 5):
Theodore whispers to Gandrel:
"Yes, as these May be the one that attacked the women we bumped into on the road.
Maybe try to rough them up for questioning?"

What do the other 4 of you think?

Neev looks to the others. "The power of Pelor allows me to Command one of the vagabonds. I could also place one in a Hold to question him as I am sure they could provide some good information."
Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
How many figures do we see? Do we think we can easily over power them, or are we gonna have a fight on our hands?

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
You can see possibly only 3 or 4 figures. You easily have them outnumbered. So are you all moving up on them sneaking to surround them?

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Lets try to sneak up on them and take them without killing them, if LCD possible. I want answers, and I'd like to bring these miscreants to town with us.
If they resist, and they seem dangerous, we go lethal.

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Gandrel doesn't approach - he moves wide to maintain his field of fire. If anyone else is carrying a bow he gesticulates to them to go the opposite direction.
if they hear you all approach, I think drop 2 with arrows then the others should surrender

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Nearly every character has a bow. Once you are all sure what you are doing I'll post but I still will require dex checks on everyone.

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Thifli will follow Gandrel's lead and cover the others as they sneak up on the supposed bandits.
Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
As long as Dune is not in the immediate area of the vagabonds, Neev will cast Silence, 15' radius on the area that the vagabonds are in so that they will not hear anyone approach.
Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
ooc I will get behind Neev and wait to see if a melee guy can get close to the strangers.

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Ok still need Dex checks from those of you going up and if Neev is casting silence it will only be silent in that area he casts it.

Re: Part 2: Enroute to Tragidore
Sigh....once again the dice roller hates me....in another game I can't hit the broadside of a barn; in this one; I'm doomed to be a clumsy Thief despite my high DEX...sigh....
My planned action was to sneak up behind one of the guards and attempt to use the pommel of the sword to hit him in the back of the head....but since I just failed my DEX check; I'm pretty sure that's not happening....
Dice roll: [1d20] = 19
