Theodore Mumfordian (Half Sylvanian Wood-Elf) Ranger HP 8/8 AC 5):

Theodore to Dune:
"It may be something more than bandits, i sense there could be a greater danger & these folks fear to speak of it."

"Perhaps taking the shortest route to get there is best, even though it may take longer."

"And don't forget that all those posting the signs have been women,"added Thifli, "Where's the menfolk? I find that to be most curious."

The dwarf gets to his feet. "Regardless, sitting here won't solve that mystery nor pay the bills. Thank ye for the information and directions."

Trying to think how long it would take by foot according to travel by foot for this distance in current times if you walk 5mph it will only take 7 hours..... so I guess back then and counting different races say travel on the road walking will take a days journey?

"Thank you Brother, for your time, patience, and information." Eirik says, standing up bowing awkwardly to the holy man. "It appears our course is set to Tragidore, come what may." With that, he readjusts his the straps of his packs and pouches, and begins making his way out of the temple. Glancing at Theodore he says "I fear time may be of the essence, and we may be better served sticking to the main road until we approach the town."

Before exiting, he turns to genuflect before the altar, praying that not only Pelor but all the gods bless their endeavor and protect them from those dangers that lurk in the darkness, waiting for them.

Theodore Mumfordian (Half Sylvanian Wood-Elf) Ranger HP 8/8 AC 5):

Theodore thanks the Servant of Pelor for his time & gets up to leave with the rest of the group.

Ok, so which way do we travel, the road for parts then short cuts here & there or try to bee-line straight to the town as much as possible?"

"The men of Tragidore may simply be staying put to guard the town best they can."

Alright before I can move on I need to know the groups travel choice, sticking to the road or skipping the road and going straight line through the woods and other land areas?

Before you all leave the Servant hands you one last thing a map. "I suspect this will aid you in your travels, may Pelor shine brightly upon you."

I vote road, assuming its quicker than going through rough country. If the direct path is faster, than I'm down with that.

Everyone please vote for the following:

1.) Road [black line on map]
2.) Straight line path (skips some road but does start and end on the main road [Red line on map]
3.) Skip the road and B line through fields/woods [green line on map]
4.) Skip the road and B line through farm land and hills [blue line on map]

Please note the faster way is going to be the road. At least that is my official DM decision. ;)

Theodore Mumfordian (Half Sylvanian Wood-Elf) Ranger HP 8/8 AC 5):

Theodore looks at the map and says:

"Ok, i would pick pretty much going straight to, cutting out the curved roads, the big middle curved road at the least." (Red Line)

"Or through the farmland & hills." (Blue Line)

"My vote is to go by the road." said Thifli. "It may be shorted as the raven flies, but tramping through the woods and wilderness is slow traveling."

I say we go the green through the woods route, it would probably be the most dangerous to other groups but not us, it has the most potential to make us rich, may find a underground dungeon or two. What say you guys who is with me?[/color]Dune says expectantly.
