Sakatha has control over many of the lizard tribes of the Hool, and yet, he does nothing about them raiding into lands beyond the swamp. Viscount Jorgas is... preparing to go to war on behalf of Keoland and the King. But now...there's the issue with the dragon."

Roan is about to suggest they check inside their "gift" when he notices Zan is already going so. The dwarf carefully and quietly slips over next to Zan to see what he can from his vantage point. "What's in there Zan. I'm wonderin' if it ain't gonna get us killed." he says in a low tone so that only Zan can hear.

The scroll is tied loosely with string which is sealed with black wax. Pressed into the wax is the symbol of a ship overlaid with the letter "T" - the seal is cracked, but not broken.
Roan gasps and Vilana looks in and says, "Open it and see what it says."

Cozar shrugs, then winces from the pain of it. "Trolls live in the swamp; likely recruited by Aulicus. Not sure about the bugbears. My guess is they served Sakatha. Which means, there could be more inside."

Well that is it for today. I have no more healing and we are still pretty banged up. Sounds to me like That Cursed thing is a Vampire. Charmed your poor Captain with his gaze and chewed out his neck. Can't trust undead for nothing. They are vile to the core. We are in no shape to face him this way for sure, would be a death sentence for sure. We need to rest and heal up before walking into a trap.

Great King Sakatha, I bring you greetings from Port Torvin in the Hold of the Sea Princes. As agreed upon when last we spoke, my emissaries bring what you need to secure your borders and drive the forces of Eor out once and for all. Deliver this as a 'peace offering' and when in the presence of Viscount Richart Jorgos, pour the contents of the vial on the egg. The creature within will do the rest. Of course, it will likely cost the lives of those who deliver the gift, but it is a small price to pay for victory.
Once the Viscount is out of the way, our forces can consolidate and capture Westkeep and control all trade along the Javan River. No one will be able to stand against us. Send word once it is done.

"What in the hell have we gotten ourselves into?" Vilana murmurs, glancing around at her companions.
Cozar is quiet, but his body language is taut and angry. "I must warn Viscount Jorgos. And...and the King!"
He gets up and staggers, leans against a tree for support. He is still quite pale, but looks determined.

"What are you all looking at?" When Cassius is able to read the scroll he snorts. "Well, that is quite a situation. And people think thieves are only in dark alleys."

He listens to Cozar and tries to calm him. "You wouldn't make it 50 yards. Let's think on this."

Cassius gathers the others and makes sure everyone is up to date. "And Zan? I want to see the egg." He asks with a grin.

"We have damning information, but I suspect it's no more than politics as usual. Albeit with an impressive performance, it appears. But is starting a war between Jorgos and Tydan the best result here?"
