Cozar shrugs. "None. We came with orders from Viscount Richard Jorgas to cease and desist expansion into the Dreadwood. Sakatha has control over many of the lizard tribes of the Hool, and yet, he does nothing about them raiding into lands beyond the swamp. Viscount Jorgas is... preparing to go to war on behalf of Keoland and the King. But now...there's the issue with the dragon."

Zan
Zan realizes that it is time to look in the box, he will do so by opening it slightly, making sure nothing sprays out and then peaking. Never opening the full box and make darn sure the hostiles and the newbie cannot see in it.

Re: Into the Hool
Roan is about to suggest they check inside their "gift" when he notices Zan is already going so. The dwarf carefully and quietly slips over next to Zan to see what he can from his vantage point. "What's in there Zan. I'm wonderin' if it ain't gonna get us killed." he says in a low tone so that only Zan can hear.

Zan will remove the scroll from the box and close the box. If the scroll is NOT sealed he will read it, if it is sealed he will examine the seal.

Roan sees Zan produce a scroll and the dwarf looks confused a bit. "What n' tha bloddy hell?" he gasps.

Re: Into the Hool
The scroll is tied loosely with string which is sealed with black wax. Pressed into the wax is the symbol of a ship overlaid with the letter "T" - the seal is cracked, but not broken.
Roan gasps and Vilana looks in and says, "Open it and see what it says."
Cozar shrugs, then winces from the pain of it. "Trolls live in the swamp; likely recruited by Aulicus. Not sure about the bugbears. My guess is they served Sakatha. Which means, there could be more inside."

Roan only half listening to the conversation just kinda nods his head slowly and says "Uh, huh." as he watches Zan with the scroll.

Cassius
He notices the commotion around Zan and spies the scroll. Knowing that the box is much bigger than a single scroll, he thinks nothing of it.

Sai
Will cast his last healing spell on Roan.
[1d8]=4 Cure Light Wounds +3 = 8 total
Well that is it for today. I have no more healing and we are still pretty banged up. Sounds to me like That Cursed thing is a Vampire. Charmed your poor Captain with his gaze and chewed out his neck. Can't trust undead for nothing. They are vile to the core. We are in no shape to face him this way for sure, would be a death sentence for sure. We need to rest and heal up before walking into a trap.

"Well, are you going to open it or not?" Vilana asks Zan a second time.
Cozar chuckles and looks up at Sai, "It doesn't matter how much you rest. If Sakatha wants to kill you, you're dead...if you're lucky."

"What in the hell have we gotten ourselves into?" Vilana murmurs, glancing around at her companions.
Cozar is quiet, but his body language is taut and angry. "I must warn Viscount Jorgos. And...and the King!"
He gets up and staggers, leans against a tree for support. He is still quite pale, but looks determined.

Cassius
"What are you all looking at?" When Cassius is able to read the scroll he snorts. "Well, that is quite a situation. And people think thieves are only in dark alleys."
He listens to Cozar and tries to calm him. "You wouldn't make it 50 yards. Let's think on this."
Cassius gathers the others and makes sure everyone is up to date. "And Zan? I want to see the egg." He asks with a grin.
"We have damning information, but I suspect it's no more than politics as usual. Albeit with an impressive performance, it appears. But is starting a war between Jorgos and Tydan the best result here?"
